Leatherman Tread Watch With Tool Bracelet
The American company Leatherman - known for their very useful folding multi-tools - will soon release a tool-bracelet known as the Tread. The Leatherman Tread will have 11 interchangeable links that each have a few tools such as screwdriver heads of various styles and sizes. Leatherman will offer the Tread as just a bracelet or make it available with an optional watch case - making the Tread a full-fledged timepiece.According to Leatherman, the Leatherman Tread watch will have a total of 25 tools - and the integration of all the tools is rather clever, I must say. Each link, for example, has two tools on either side such as a screw head or a small cutting instrument. The center of the link might be used to unscrew various bolts. It appears as though most of the tools can be used without dissembling the Leatherman Tread merely by taking the bracelet off and folding the links to expose a tool. How comfortable the Leatherman Tread watch will be is another matter. Good price for a 5070G in MINT condition?
There seems to be a fairly wide range of listed prices on various forums/websites for the 5070G. If I recall correctly, list price was $60k before it was discontinued. I'd be interested in hearing people's thoughts on what is a fair/good price for a 5070G with box and papers in like new condition. Thanks in advance.
5167 and....
Hey TRF:The only two watches in my current collection are the PP 5167 and the Rolex BLNR. I feel like those two provide me with a nice balance of Rolex/Patek, color, steel/rubber, extra complication, etc. Even though I like the BLNR, the 5167 gets the majority of the wrist time. I absolutely love the aquanaut!Every time I look at a picture of the 5711, I'm in awe of it's beauty. If I traded my BLNR, do you think that it's redundant to have the 5167 and 5711 as my only two watches? They have the same movement and other similarities, but I think they could also be an excellent compliment to each other. To help you give me feedback, I'd like to let you know that 1) I really don't have a practical use for a watch with a lot of complications, and I really have no use for a dress watch, so sport watches appeal to me most 2) I'm in my late 20s 3) I would trade the BLNR for 5711 and would have to add ~$15k which is obviously a lot of money.Soooo should I keep the BLNR, keep cash, and enjoy m
Just so comfortable for the weekend
I love the brushed bezel on this watch and the way the sapphire crystal sits flush with the surface of the bezel.Patek5167.jpg
Has Rolex ever introduced a part 'post production' which improves a watch?
Would Rolex ever consider producing a set of hands for the Daytona which are easier to read (ie. easier to read than fat hands), that could be fitted by an A.D.?
