Introducing the Archimede 1950's
There aren't many contemporary dress watches on the affordable end of the spectrum that are truly worth purchasing. The ones with any appeal are usually modern interpretations of historical designs��Hamilton and Tissot certainly have a few, as does Orient. But most of these reissues often miss the mark with a detail or two that leave one feeling cold��a misplaced date window or an inflated case size, just to name a few. And the brands that do get it right, namely the Max Bill line from Junghans, are generally priced higher than comparable brands. But what if I were to tell you that there's finally a watch out there with all the right vintage details, boasting rugged German construction, and at an easy-to-swallow price just north of $500? AP FC versus Ceramic question
So, I recently posted a thread that I've been bitten by the AP bug....and it's getting worse!I already had a 15400 blue dial and just received my AP 42mm Elephant from Takuya this week....and now I'm looking at the 26405CE - HELP!Can those of you who have them provide me with feedback on how the piece wears versus the SS case (e.g. scratching, chips, etc.) as I want an all-arounder that I can wear all the time on weekends/holidays.I actually thought about the FC, but I prefer the dial on the ceramic and have read the FC doesn't take wear-and-tear as well...or am I mistaken?Looking forward to your input/feedback/wisdom!

Decision Time! Help!
Hey guys, I am new to AP.....I am trying to decide between adding the the ROO Rose Gold piece as my first AP, or going ahead with a PP 59801/A. I do already have a 5980R, but would like to add the SS piece at some point. I am just looking for some feedback, as I have never had the ROO on my wrist, and in Denver, don't seem to have many options to do so. I will post this in the PP forum too, to see mixed opinions. Can't seem to find any 6565 models with colored dials... Def looks original to me just wanted to share/ see what you guys think?
