Omega Speedmaster White Side Of The Moon Watch
2015 is certainly the year of the ceramic Speedmaster at Omega - and we aren't complaining. This bright, white little number is the new Omega Speedmaster White Side Of The Moon. In 2013, Omega released the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon (watches-dealer review here) that was a surprise (and enduring) hit that put the newer Omega Speedmaster Co-Axial Chronograph watch with the in-house made 9300 movement in an all black ceramic case. The Omega Dark Side Of The Moon was sporty, stealthy, and very sexy - quickly becoming "the" Omega to have, even for people who were not traditionally Omega fans.So what was Omega going to do with this success? Look to more sides of the moon, of course. Last year in 2014, Omega released the plasma-gray ceramic version of the Speedmaster with the Omega Speedmaster Gray Side Of The Moon (hands-on here). Note that the Omega Speedmaster Gray Side Of The Moon was initially called the "Lunar Dust." It naturally means that for 2015, we get the Omega Speedm
Refund after price increase?
Well, I didn't expect this. Was thrilled to pick up my 5960 from my AD less than 7 days ago and now it's worth $3,800 less. I jumped on board PP from Rolex about a year ago. I currently have two and two more on the way.I did the 'right' thing by Patek and bought from an AD. I've been walking on cloud nine since I bought it, but I'm sure you can appreciate my frustration - especially when you hear from ADs that the price will be going up due to the Swiss Franc, etc.By the incomings, I know there are others that are in this position. Have you done anything about it? Are you going to?Thanks for listening - this was therapeutic :)

New Watch, my first Patek!
Picked this guy up today, 5980 blue dial--my first Patek! I wanted something with a metal bracelet for my first Patek because I don't like wearing leather on a daily basis especially in the summer, and i've always been drawn to the Nautilus and especially the 5980. The fit and finish of this watch is outstanding, and I just love the blue dial and the way it seems to change colour in different light. I think the dial has a really clean look for a chrono and i'm glad to be able to add it to my collection! The only negative things I can say so far is the clasp seems a little 90s, and the rotor makes a little noise when it turns almost like a faint ratcheting sound. Not a big deal I guess, I think i've just been spoiled by the silent Rolex rotors. I asked the dealer about it and he said it was normal and i've also read that it's fairly common for the 5980 online as well. Anyways here is the customary wrist shot! Glad to finally be part of the Patek club! And from the drive home fro
