A what age you bought your 1st Patek ?
My first Patek was really my 1st High end watch. I started with watches in May 2012, so for the last 6 months of 2012 I bought JLC, Rolex, Omega, etc; Until my 41 birthday on January 2013, I post a thread called Is Hobnail the Final Answer? Let's call a friend just in case . On that thread I was convinced that if I was going to pull the trigger for something that expensive like a Patek it had to be the strongest representation of the brand something that set it a part from the rest. Hey guys I am truly in love with the Charcoal dial version of this watch. I do have a couple questions however? I know Pateks hold their value better than most but I am sure that different models vary. I wouldn't want to drop all that cash on a model that may not hold better than others. In terms of collect-ability I am guessing this model will be too common in terms of appreciation. I have never sold a watch from my collection but I guess its more a piece of mind thing to know the perceived depreciation to expect. Is their a better complicated Nautilus to consider for the money? What type of % off of retail can I expect for BNIB? I have seen them in the 20% off range in the for sale section? Please correct me if i am wrong. Wanting to join the Panerai camp
I am looking to replace my Breitling Steelfish and am seriously thinking about Panerai. The reason I sold the Steelfish was because it was just too heavy (listed at 122 grams-not sure with bracelet or not) and it was constantly sliding into my wrist bone. I could never get comfortable with it. I currently have a Submariner that I love dearly although i would not want anything smaller on my 7.5 wrist. I am looking at an entry level Panerai like the 111, 112 etc. since I really like the clear caseback. I don't know how the watches feel nor what sort of wrist presence to expect. I also don't know if a leather band will change the way it feels on the wrist versus a metal bracelet like on the Breitling. Or should I be looking at a titanium model?As always y'all's expertise is welcomed.

The lume only lasts for 10 minutes after charging it for 30 seconds... does anyone know which models has lume lasting up to 8 hours? Not buying for the lume but it is a neat perk if it is able to go the distance at night...Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk
