Play Ball! Graham Signs MLB Pitcher C.J. Wilson
To many Americans, the start of the new baseball season is a long-awaited rite of spring, and to Graham a Swiss watch company with British roots and a reputation for distinctively masculine sport watches it also provides the perfect opportunity to introduce its newest “brand ambassador” and its first from the world of baseball: L.A. Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson. Wilson, a seventh-year major leaguer who went to the World Series two years in a row as a member of the Texas Rangers before signing with the Angels this past offseason, owns several Graham watches, and names the Chronofighter Oversize Diver and Silverstone Stowe Classic as favorite models. He is also involved in charitable activities, having founded the C.J. Wilson Children’s Charities in Dallas during his days with the Rangers. The organization teams up with children’s hospitals to offer support and care to children with chronic and terminal illnesses.Perhaps most significantly to Graham, a brand wit
HourTime Show Watch Podcast Episode 49
Welcome special guest Meehna Goldsmith. She writes for aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer and is a "watch matchmaker." We press tough questions and try to get some good advice for men, from a woman. Also a healthy discussion on the merits/disadvantages of buying vintage watches and an overall debate on buying new versus old.Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 49 here.
Any concept owners on TRF?
Any members have the concept GMT with black ceramic or the laptimer? Just curious. Looking to for what my stretch goal piece for 2016 is going to be hahaha.
Does my watch need a doctor??
So this watch was serviced by a company with a mixed internet reputation about a year ago (before I bought it). Take a look at the pushers and how they are sitting on their stems (is that the right term?). Notice the one on the right is sitting higher on the stem than the one on the left. It's also a bit spongy in that it has some downward movement when pressed gently. It seems to be well attached to the stem so I don't think it's just going to pop off... Anyone have any thoughts? The watch was serviced a year ago and after buying it, I really can't afford much more of repairs. I thought I would see what you guys here thought before taking it to a shop for an assessment...
D-Blue available at my AD
Should I pick it up? I know it's a bit big, but these things are pretty rare and hard to get from ADs it seems these days.Price would be $14,200 CAD all-in, or about $11,200 USD. Seems like a no-lose proposition!
