Martin Braun Hyperion and Kephalos
For 2009 Martin Braun introduces 2 new models. The Hyperion is a 44mm diameter flying minute tourbillon with retrograde moon phase and date displays. The similarly-sized Kephalos Heliozentric combines a multitude of complications including an annual calendar with retrograde date, plus day, month, position of the Earth in its orbit around the Sun, Equation of Time, and a 24 day/night display. Martin Braun names his creations after figures from Greek mythology. Earlier models include the Eos (2001), Boreas (2003), Astraios (2005) and Kephalos (2008). For 2009 Martin adds a tourbillon to his collection and it bears the fittingly impressive name Hyperion. This piece incorporates Braun's own retrograde moon phase that has the moon moving to each phase step by step. Upon reaching full or new moon, the disc begins to turn backwards. Van Cleef & Arpels Pont des Amoureux Watch
This is a very interesting and nice to look at women's watch from Van Cleef & Arpels. If I was a woman, then I would likely start saving up for one. Pennies, nickles, and dimes until I reached $116,000. The watch is the Pont des Amoureux, which means lover's bridge. The complication makes it such that the two figurines? connect at midnight for a "kiss." This was no easy task actually. Check out this image of the watch internals. Just a small part of this area is dedicated to the manually wound mechanical movement. The rest is for the complex retrograde minute and hour hands.? The watch is also in 18k white gold, with lots of diamonds, and the dial is totally hand painted. Any offshore for the guys with smaller wrists?
Good day everybody.On the hunt, and I am looking for a ROO that would be suitable for small wrists.It is very unfortunate that I haven't been able to find a Royal Oak that fits my wrists well.At 6.25' wish wrists, the 15202 lugs just won't sit on my wrists unfortunately. I would have loved to add that to my collection. A stunning watch with an amazing history.The 15450 dial is just too small for my taste. The 15202 dial size is a very nice fit, as my 40MM Rolex fit very well, but just the stiff lugs that make it difficult. Ofcourse some people don't mind this, but I really dislike the way it looks on me personally.On the hunt for an Offshore now, are there any that work well on small wrists?Surely we have guys on here with small wrists that own some, and don't look like they are wearing clocks on their wrists.
