It really amazes me that so many new luxury watch companies seem to come out of the woodwork, each with their own unique flair and style. R. Gauthier watches are in a class of simple yet elegant watches that are nice without trying too hard. The first line being the R. Gauthier Prestige collection. Various colors and case materials from steel to gold are available . The off center dial leaves room for a more artistic take on watch dial design with emphasis on classic elements like Roman numerals and textured dials. It is actually a refreshing departure from the aggressively "futuristic" look of many new watches that claim to be such feats of mechanics when they really are not. The R. PP 5711 vs AP 15202 - POLL
Very curious to see how this one goes down.I am in love with both, but can only justify one of these.I would just rather the next after one of these be a different time piece to diversify the collection.I think the AP gives a better statement as it speaks louder, and is more obvious (bigger presence). The bracelet is more noticeable though it doesn't have PCL, the white gold screws on the bezel, etc.The nautilus is more discrete, more subtle, and also a stunner.Which will it be and why?Neither of these pics are mine btw.

Amazing Accuracy for my Patek Philippe Collection
There is a lot of talk about the accuracy of these watches more so in the Rolex section. CSOC specs +6 to -4 seconds per day. I was told(sales) that since the PP are hand made to a very high standard that their accuracy is higher than most. On my 5980's, I run the chrono starting at noon and check with time.is over several days and weeks and both of my 5980's are within 2-3 seconds of correct time over a month. Amazing to me and quite impressive! Any others have similar results?

As title. Who do you guys go with to cover your insurance requirements. I�m not one to keep watches in a bank vault. I like to wear them in the knowledge they�re covered by an insurance with covers, theft & loss . Who do you use ?.Second part of question. Without telling me where you live and where in your house you store them when not in use. Where do you store them?. Is there a good safe for the home ?.
