Any recommendations for place to change strap in So Cal?
I wanted to know whether you guys have any good places to change strap on my brand new AP.I am in Orange County area and I am super nervous that someone will scratch my brand new watch and have heard just too many horror stories about AD's scratching watches being careless. There is traditional jewelers but I don't know whether they are trustworthy.Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.I am putting on the Grand Prix leather and Alcantara version so I hope it will look good. Will post pics shortly.
AP Diver - I need a push
I need a push in this direction. Any owners opinions wanted to sway for or against this watch. Only pain is servicing cannot be done in Canada, any ways around this?Photos appreciated and needed!!!!!!!!! Please and thanks ^_^
Trade my 368 for a 217...
The 217 has invaded my mind Considering trading my 368(+$) for a 217...similarities47mm1950 caseDial layoutDestroDomed crystalGold handsLimited to 1000 unitsDifferences8 day vs 3 dayIn house mvmt vs. ETA based OPX1Ti case vs. SS caseTobacco dial vs. black dialLuminor vs. Marina Militare printed on dial(Not my pic)I love everything about the 368, the 8 day movement, the case material, size, and design. I don't like the 8 Days printed on the dial. I love the history of the 217, and the Marina Militare on the dial...My 368 may increase in value, in several years. The 217 has doubled in value in 6+ years and holding steady. It would probably take my 368 plus the $$ I've saved for the new Exp2 to buy a 217...Or maybe just keep saving and have both....Anyone else compare these 2? What did you decide? Thanks
Looking to purchase 1st rolex for lady DJ 28 or 31 jubilee band concealed clasp!
Hello All!I am new to this forum, but I am extremely glad I found it! I just spent 3 hours just reading up on all the different forums and I'm excited to embark on this new journey! So a bit about myself...I just graduated undergrad, 22y/o lady and officially launched my own business that I've been working diligently on since 2015 My dad bought me a Movado Museum Classic for starters a couple years ago, but I'm ready to play with the big ballers now With that said, I am looking to reward myself with a Rolex! I am still in debate whether I should just go to my AD for my first one, however, I know I can find a pre-owned one for a decent amount. What caught my eye was the 79174 DayJust with diamonds and concealed clasp Jubilee band (definitely firm on the concealed clasp). I was at work and encountered a woman with a beautiful blue dial w/diamonds but I am open to any and all suggestions. I originally only thought that I would look good with a 28mm, but now, I am slightly considering the 31
That confusion over servicing intervals
It keeps coming back ; guys insisting Rolex recommends ten year servicing. But there is no such recommendation on any Rolex website I can find. The latest version is people quoting from some sales document marked 'for internal use only' .There are real experts on this forum. Can anyone produce a statement from Rolex quoting a set number of years between servicing? I think their position is ..,service when necessary. Am I wrong ?
