Leave the Chrono running on a FOIS
HiProbably been asked before but are their any downsides wear, spring run down etc to leaving the large chrono sweep hand running all the time?Thanks for any infoToby

I just got mail from Simon Malls that the King of Prussia Mall Omega boutique has been open. I'll go check it out probably next weekend.

My Vintage Ploprof is now complete
So!Finally got the brand new luminova bezel for my Ploprof 600! And all I can say is WOW!This thing GLOWS!Now it makes sense. This is what it was supposed to look like. Hands, dial, seals and bezel changed. Next week it will receive a well worth service to the movement. New bezel still in packaging:New bezel installed. And a picture in the dark!

I have always wanted a high precision quartz watch and they don't come much higher than this ( most owners quote real world timing to be somewhere between +5/10 seconds a year and the lower figure being the norm!Thermocompensated and acknowledged to be one of the finest quartz movements ever made...And now it is mine!My AD gave me an offer I simply could not refuse and this watch is stunning in every way and shape, the finish is one of the finest I have seen in a watch, Omega have really pulled the stops out with this one, it is a shame ETA have now discontinued the movement.So here ladies and gentlemen is my Omega constellation double eagle perpetual calendar (what a mouthfull!)In one of the pictures it appears the second hand does not hit the marker, that is an optical illusion as it hits the marker with absolute precision!

I'm drooooling at the possibility of a DD40 as my second and (if achieved) final Rolex for a loooong time.Poll question being: If you had the 116520(white dial), what would you reach for next?WG with Blue dial?ORRG with Olive dial?Rando third option being your suggestions! Yes I'm still banging this idea around in my head. The incoming is...definitely coming soon; but since I'm still waiting for the actual day I may as well torture the forum and bounce a little more off my favorite digital geek squad.
