Introducing: The MB&F Arachnophobia, A Clock That Will Give 3.5 To 6.1 Percent Of You The Major
MB&F is nothing if not iconoclastic in its approach to everything fromwell, to everything, and this time they've come up with a clock that is guaranteed to not be bought by a sizeable fraction of the general population (that's right, adjusted for where you live, 3.1 to 6.5 percent of the general population suffers from flat out arachnophobia – irrational fear of spiders – and while a lot of the rest of us don't, we still prefer as a rule to keep our distance). It's the Arachnophobia, which is – well, there's no way to sugarcoat it, this is a clock in the shape of a giant spider. A giant spider with long, spiky legs. A clock, we repeat, in the shape of a monstrous arachnid that bears more than a little resemblance to the final form of the Other Mother in Coraline. New shoes for my old Speedy . . .
I love curved end straps and the OEM Omega fold-over deployant is the only clasp for me.After cutting the keepers off of Hirsch Leonardo straps to use the Omega deployant, I was pleased to see Hirsch introduce a Heavy Calf LE with removable keepers. I ordered one immediately but the first one was lost in the mail. Gary at WatchObsession sent me a replacement that arrived a couple of weeks ago,Admittedly, I wasn't too pleased with it upon arrival. The brown was not the gold-brown of the original Medici but after a couple of weeks of daily oiling, the color is getting deeper and richer. The curved ends seem to fit better than the Medici and Omega deployant works great:
Pics of my 2254
I've finally got some pictures of my 2254 I bought about a month ago. So far in about 3 weeks it has only lost about 20 seconds. My pictures aren't very good the watch looks a lot better in person.
Back with a PAM 423
I have owned a PAM 90, a 140, and I just completed a PAM 423 purchase with Sean Landsnaes. Love the dial power reserve and the gold hands. Good to be back. Much larger than my Omega Speedmaster Date, but I like it and the new movement.
Dilema, Got a call, to add or wait.
Got a call today that they have a no date sub in, which i had expressed in interest in, a couple of months or so ago, that 'd like to add one at some point, going to have a look tomorrow, but had said to myself no more this year unless its the sea dweller or daytona!!Will power isn't my strong point.
