Christopher Ward C10 Aviator MKI Review
We've been fortunate to have a couple Christopher Ward pieces come in for review here at worn&wound. With both the C8 Pilot and C5 Malvern dress watch, Christopher Ward has displayed clearly that they are capable of bringing their customers well designed, high quality watches at very reasonable prices. ?For the past several weeks we've been putting the C10 Aviator through its paces, Christopher Ward’s modern take on the classic pilot watch. So, at $515, does the C10 live up to Christopher Ward's reputation?Case: Stainless steel w/ matte finishMovement: 26 Jewel Sellita SW200-1 automaticLume: SuperluminovaLens: Anti-reflective sapphireStrap: Italian calf leatherWater Res.: 50MDimensions: 42mmThickness: 10mmLug Width: 22mmCrown: Screw downWarranty: CW360 Care ProgramPrice: $515Christopher Ward designed the C10 in the image of the classic B-Uhren pilot watches, but with wearability and versatility in mind. ?As they note on the product page, a "triangular reference point at 12 O&
What do you think of the new SkyRacer Raven?
Well Breitling's wonderful design staff has come up with a new design for the SkyRacer Raven LE...I'm not sure if they teamed up with the Playdough or Crayola folks when they designed these, but thought I would post this over here to get ya'lls feedback. Word is these list for over $5k....can't imagine, but I guess to each their own. Any how just thought it would be interesting to see what the group over here thought of these things.
Help A NATO Noob (DSOTM & Omega NATO)
I have experience changing straps, but have never dealt with NATOs.I have a DSOTM Speedmaster, and while visiting the Omega boutique in Rome, I impulse purchased an Omega NATO.I have done some searches on various forums, and I saw some discussions about the possibility of needing different, curved spring bars than currently installed on the watch. Is that true?I don't want to risk this ceramic watch falling to the ground and breaking. Any other tips or issues to keep in mind?
Buying used. Please advise
For some strange reason, I got this urge to get Panerai watch and after one visit to local AD, it was over- I am hooked to Panerai. So .. I have chance to get used PAM557 at a reasonable price according to Chrono24 / eBay pricing. The seller is providing box, papers, and sales receipts. The watch is out of warranty, but the seller is the original owner and bought the watch from a local AD. Seller provided bunch of pics, I carefully inspected the serial numbers on the case and movement and compared to what's on paper and they match. Seller is willing to deal on Paypal. Is there anything else I should look out for? Thanks.
How many Baselworlds before we see a SS Day-Date?
With Rolex now releasing SS models of previous PM only, does anyone think we'll see in the future a SS or TT Day-Date?
