Some funds coming.... Ginza Forged Carbon vs 5726
i post the question here because i've been looking for my 2nd AP watch for a while (after purchased 15300). and decided to get AP ROO Ginza Forged Carbon when i have enough funds (even i haven't had a chance to try it on yet) . So now it's time . but stopped by PP local AD this morning and tried on a 5726 on the bracelet and felt in love right away . Never liked PP before because geneve letters on the dial . But the weight, the finish, and the dial are everything i need and love. So it changed my mind . But i do love to own my first too forged carbon case as well .......So money is issue , please help to pick one.Ginza Forged Carbon or 5726.
Need help, sell gold GMT Master II for PP Aquanaut Time Travel 5164a?
Hello,I have a very lovely Rolex GMT-Master II in gold and at the time of purchase it was my grail. It's an amazing watch and the feeling of gold on your wrist is indescribable. However, I only wear it when I have long sleeves on (8 months out of the year). I am uncomfortable wearing it with shorts sleeves here in NYC. My other watch is the SS Daytona Ceramic black dial. I never really considered the move to PP mainly b/c the ones I wanted were too expensive. I always admired the Time Travel from afar when I'd see it online, but never even considered buying. Then today out of no where I got the bug and am not sure what to do. Note, I've also never seen the watch in person, let alone tried one on. Given I live in NYC, I plan on going to the Diamond District to see if I like it on my wrist. While both watches are GMT's, they are completely different in wearability and in my opinion world's apart. The main thing my GMT has going for it is that it's gold and looks amazing (many consider it
rubber band of 5164 can fit 5130?
Dear all...has anyone of you tried or come across any information of 5164 aquanaut rubber band fit into the 5130 world time? I measured the lug to lug width on both and it seems that the width is pretty much the same. My taste has moved away from leather strap to rubber band or bracelet. If the 5164 rubber band could fit into 5130, that will be awesome combination...
Patek deep case scratch repair?
Does anybody know how patek repairs deep gold case scratches? I was told that they fill the deep scratches in with a laser gold technique and then buff it out.
Rolex ADs in Airports
For those of you who have been in one, is there a good selection? I would think since it's an airport and lots of traffic, Rolex will keep supply up in Airport ADs. But hey, who knows...the drought can even be in International Airports. The two story one in Hong Kong Airport looks like Rolex keeps that place stocked. What are your thought on Rolex ADs in airports as far as availability?
