My AP Clearwater Service Review With Pics
I recently needed to send my SS AP ROO 44mm in for warranty work. I dealt with Lindsay at Clearwater from the beginning. Very nice and very professional. The problem I had with my watch was a tear in the rubber strap which has never happened to me before on any of my rubber strap ROOS.. Even more weird is it was happening on the very last hole and I don't wear my strap on that hole. So I contacted Clearwater and sent some pictures. They said they need to see the watch. I was told If it's not covered under warranty, then I will have to pay for a $100 shipping kit (which covers shipping round trip) and I would have to pay something like $400 for a new rubber strap if I decide to replace it at that point. Defect here:I explained to Lindsay I have had the watch for only 1 year, it does not have 1 scratch on it, literally brand new condition, being it doesn't find much time in my regular rotation... Solar Impulse Titanium Speedmaster GMT
I'm a huge fan of this new Solar Impulse Titanium Speedmaster GMT with Saphire crystal and a date function as well! The carbon fiber dial and caseback is certainly eye catching (though I would have to see it in the flesh to really appreciate it I'm sure) and the caseback lettering and logo really stand out. Opinions on the Speedmaster Professional
This watch has been in the back of my mind for a long time. I know there are some here that own the manual speedmaster professionals. Do you wish you had gone to a broad arrow or to one of the other speedmasters that are automatic and have a date on it or has a sapphire crystal?I am drawn to it for the history and the fact is is a great looking watch.What are your experiences?

Service expectations on a 2010 vintage 5712
Looking at possibly purchasing a pre-owned, early 2010 vintage, 5712/1A from the original owner. Was worn in rotation for the first year or so and pretty much been sitting in a safe ever since.Should I expect this watch will need servicing soon? If so, what would you estimate cost and the time it will be off my wrist to be?Thanks, guys.
