Concerning the progressive construction project
Concerning the progressive construction project, Jean-Claude Biver has made this enthusiastic proclamation: "by 2010, our goal is to produce 5 to 8 000 movements entirely manufactured in these premises and reach a production of 20 000 movements by 2012." In addition, we also want to train young watchmakers, and that this building will become a space that promotes learning and releases creative energy! AP ROC power reserve too low
Hi guys,I'm new here and contemplating buying my first AP and have a question to ask of the experts.I was looking around for an AP ROC 41mm and pretty much zeroed in on this watch. However when looking up the specs on the website I found it has a reserve of only 40 hours. I was quite surprised as I feel this is really low. If alternating this watch over the week I may have to keep winding it every 2nd day. Isn't this too less when most watches in this league boast a much higher reserve. also keeping the chrono on will obviously further reduce the reserve. This has really put me off but I would like your thoughts please.Maybe the Other option to consider is the Offshore then?thanks in advance
Modern bracelet for...
....older Speedmaster Pro model # ST 145 022.Looking to replace my stretched original 1171 SS bracelet with a more modern Speedmaster Pro bracelet.Checked Ofrei and came up with SS bracelet. OEM 020ST 1998 849 $746.00Would like to confirm this is the right one before I start searching for a used bracelet.Did a search and all I found was the grail of Speedmaster bracelets, the #1450. Unfortunately too rare and pricey for me.Thanks in advance, Mark.
Insurance for airline pilots or heavy travellers!
I tried getting a quote from Jewellers Mutual, and put in all the information. I don’t live in a gated community, and don’t have a safety deposit box (unless required) and will be travelling a lot due to job and personal reason. However, with more than 10 trips a month and 120+ trips a year, getting an insurance seems quite a bit of challenge.Anyone else face such problems? Any solution around this problem?
