Antiquorum’s May 8-9 Geneva Auction Offers Many Delights
Antiquorum's Important Collectors' Wristwatches, Pocket Watches, & Clocks Auction, to be held on Saturday and Sunday May 8 and 9 at the Mandarin Oriental Geneva, will offer more than 450 selected vintage and modern timepieces for sale. Top items include a Patek Philippe 10 Day Tourbillon, an Audemars Piguet Cabinet No. 2, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gyrotourbillon No. 1/1 Piece Unique, and more. One of the sale highlights is the rare Grande & Petite Sonnerie Tourbillon Clockwatch attributed to Victorin Piguet, made for Tchtounoff Frres, Moscow, circa 1900, shown below. Its movement combines a two-train grande and petite sonnerie with trip minute-repeating and one-minute tourbillon. The presale estimate is SFr. 300,000 to 400,000.Another rare and significant complicated piece to be offered is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Complication Gyrotourbillon No. 1/1 C Piece Unique. This highly complicated 8-day going platinum wristwatch features a visible Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 177 with incli
When it comes of style and function in the Oris size diving world really important.
In fact, liked the best! This essential diving watch is very visible under water and not only because of its size. Inlays Superluminova dark orange special indices bright glow - even in the darkest of the waters. The movement of the separate special regulator minute, hour and small second displays are also clearly when it comes to diving safety. Bone Crown makes it doubly safe watch as accidental adjustments are almost impossible. Waterproof to 100 bar / 1000 metres and with a screwed helium valve, is really a must for all serious divers. But this magnificent beast is at home on land that it is in the water. The subtle black dial with the wave design printed and the case of lightweight titanium are a gentle giant - no place in the home or Office. The enormous whole watch is regulated by a small spring just 0.035 mm thick. When it comes of style and function in the Oris size diving world really important.
A Proud New Member of the Omega Family
Having lurked around the forums for a awhile, I am happy to say that I finally took the plunge and purchased my first real watch: the Omega Planet Ocean 8500 in 42mm. Like many others, I debated on which brand to go with Omega vs. Rolex. Beyond the technical comparisons, I went with Omega for one simple reason: 1. Rolex is just too obvious. Too cliche. I like the idea of owning an Omega because it implies that I actually know a little bit about watches beyond simply the price tag and name recognition. But any-who -- here are some pics!
Speedmaster new bracelet question
Hi, I am looking to buy a Speedmaster Moonwatch 3570.Does anyone know if this will get the upgraded bracelet at any point in the near future, with the screws in stead of pins?Reason I ask is all the special editions seem to have it like the Apollo XVII 40th anniversary Limited Edition ref 311.30.42.30.99.002.Think its the .002 that signifies the strap type but might be wrong. Thanks in advance.
Queue for Tudor Pepsi GMT??
I went to enquire about the physical release of the Tudor GMT and was told there's already a lengthy waiting list??? Has the waiting list syndrome now spread to Tudor?? Anyone else experienced this?
