Watch Winner Review: Delma Santiago Blue Shark
Last month the watches-dealer giveaway watch was a Delma Santiago Blue Shark. The lucky winner was Paul E. and following-up on his receipt of the watch here is his mini review and thoughts on the timepiece:I was the proud recipient of a recent watches-dealer monthly giveaway C what a surpriseand a complete pleasure. Ariel let me know I had won the Delma Santiago Blue Shark and the watch arrived from Switzerland about a week after that email. The watch arrived in a huge box C much larger than I expected. Upon unboxing, I understood why the packing box was so large C the maple wood presentation box is very substantive. And well finished; a preview of the quality of the watch inside.Inside the presentation box was the Delma Santiago Blue Shark. This model is a limited edition dive watch of 500 watches per model. The Blue Shark is impressively water resistant to a depth of 3000M or 9842 feet. The Blue Shark comes with the choice of a stainless bezel or black PVD bezel. The watch clocks in a
Ferrari and Patek
I'm kind of curious about the relationship between Ferrari and Patek. I was at the AD the other day getting familiar with setting the moon phase and the technician was telling me how Ferrari and Patek were discussing creating a watch for Ferrari but the negotiations fell through. He was saying that normally sub-dials are in the 3,6,9 position but Ferrari wanted the dials to look like their dashboard. So, Patek designed the Nautilus 5712 to Ferrari's request. Then things went south and their relationship soured. Since PP had the movement they decided to sell the 5712. Now I have absolutely no proof of this and neither did the technician but the dash of my 360 does look like the sub-dials of the 5712. Can any of you confirm whether this is true?
First Panerai coming tomorrow from DavidSW!!!
I'm so excited!!! I bought my first Rolex, a sub 114060 three months ago from an AD. I'm 46 and really enjoying my new hobby of watches, and have also really enjoyed this forum greatly! So I wanted to get a birth year watch to commemorate my sons birth in 2009, and decided on a 2009 PAM 028 L. As luck would have it, I had heard a lot about DavidSW, and he happened to have one on his website, in good condition for a fair price. So far, he has been a pleasure to deal with, and well deserves the respect he is accommodated on the Rolex forums!Anyways, I'll post pictures when I get it tomorrow, and if anyone has any strap recommendations, please let me know!Have a great night!
Rolex in Dubai Mall
Moving on from India...now in Dubai.Visited the Dubai mall this morning. Rolex only had two stainless steel professional models.Explorer 1 which worked out at around ?4950 compared to UK price of ?4800.The other was the yachtmaster with rhodium dual and cyan hands. Cant remember the price exactly but just under ?10000.SS Daytona is a 3 year wait. No deposits or lists (apparently) but first come first serve.Guess I will have talk to my local AD to get my friend a submariner.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Buying YG - so 16618 or 116618?
Both have design elements I like - and dislike. Hard to sanction which one. I shall choose one, though. :)Images by Ocrolexguy.
