Aquanaut or Nautilus for "Dressy Casual" Person
I am looking for advice on my next watch. I work from home and have a successful internet business, but I rarely wear formal attire... Mainly high end brand shirts, shorts and jeans (Armani, Gucci, Burberry, Etro, etc.). Great brands but their more casual or dress casual stuff. And short sleeve most of the year because I live in florida. Also, I wear nice shorts and Gucci or Prada sandals a lot. Actually I may be a bit more of a casual dresser even, only with high end brands.I say all this just to paint a picture to make your advice tailored to what I wear. I have looked at the AP 15400, 15300 and 15202 AND the Patek Nautilus and Aquanaut only briefly. I am drawn to get a Patek first.I know its all about personal preference, but if anyone has both an Aquanaut and Nautilus, I would love your thoughts on which may be the better first choice in SS (put money and availability aside, because I know the Nautilus is harder to come by and a bit more expensive).I have been racking my brain and
Daytona dial change
Hello. New to trf. Had a question. Lots of em actually but let's start here. I love the Daytona ice blue dial. Seems like I only see it on the platinum Daytona. Is there a version with the ice blue dial in stainless steel? (Love the platinum version but it's a bit pricey for me).Would it be totally taboo or impractical to buy a stainless in say white and have the dials switched? Thank you for your opinions and knowledge in advance. Always trying to learn more about Rolex and appreciate all the people on this forum.
116655 Discount in Canada
Hey guys, I'm thinking of picking up the 116655 yachtmaster after Christmas in Toronto. I've been to several AD's and seen both the 40 and 37 are quite readily available. I think its also relatively hard to move these watches as the market is much smaller than ss models. I know the ultimate price will depend on the AD and my negotiating abilities, but would looking for a 25-30% discount be out of the question/unreasonable? I've heard people have been able to obtain this discount on full gold models, but not sure if its also possible on gold/rubber or gold/leather models. It's my grail watch and I think I would be happy with it for a long time, but the amount of gold in my mind does not warrant a ~29k price tag. I've seen second hand datejusts 36 in solid yellow gold with a leather bracelet for ~17k so that is a large difference... Thanks in advance and happy holidays to everyone!Cheers
