Seamaster Cosmic 166.036 Bracelet Options
Recently picked up this nifty Omega Seamaster Cosmic, reference 166.036.Seeking suggestions for a Bracelet upgrade. First option:The bracelet it sits on now is comfortable, but I would like to find some curved end links to better fit against the watch head. Brand name is Maruman. Any ideas?Another option would be a replacement bracelet. For this I would rather pick up a new aftermarket bracelet rather than trying to source an original. All suggestions welcome.Thank you in advance!
DSOTM Strap fitment
So I'm two weeks into my DSOTM journey. After getting it on the tang buckle strap, I also added the deployant strap because people raved about it, and I also am a fan of the setup.I seem to be plagued with one of THOSE wrists, which is precisely in-between sizes on the strap. With 3 holes remaining, it is so loose it literally spins freely around my wrist. If I move it one more hole, it is so tight it causes me pain and digs into my wrist in such a way it hits some nerve and makes my hand tingle and burn. There is no in-between: I can either have it flop around me or cause me to be in agony.I've been opting for the flopping-around, but I'm not really happy with that solution. What do others do? It really seems they placed those holes too far apart. Has anyone ever punched one in-between? I know it may seem like sacrilege, but if it's between destroying a $300 strap but being then able to enjoy a $12,000 watch, it seems like its worth it.
Girl name ideas for my watch
Hi Everyone,I am new to the rolex forum and hopefully looking to purchase my first rolex (Explorer 2 Ref 16570)! I was bored and just wanted to see what creative ideas everyone has for a girl name or maybe share some of yours if you guys have. Is it weird to name your watch? Appreciate the ideas in advance! Lol
Rolex's Motivation
Most know that Rolex SA is owned by the private Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, which is registered as a charity and does not pay corporate income taxes. The foundation is a trust which will survive in perpetuity and will continue to be funded as long as Rolex is making a profit. (Side question: could the trust ever decide to sell Rolex?)All profits go into the trust and no person benefits from the profits (other than salaries paid). Rolex does some charitable work but from what I've read it isn't a large part of their existence. So, is Rolex motivated to maximize profits, like most other companies? If the Foundation wants to last in perpetuity (at least in a capacity in which it can have money to spend as it chooses such as on charitable activities) then it needs Rolex to make profits to fund the Foundation. So it seems like profit maximization would still be the goal. Or is there something else that motivates Rolex which is why we are sometimes baffled by their decisions, e.g., why would
ADs & Greys
I must have seen today on instagram 3 or 4 different greys all selling a trio of S sports models new with stickers, BLNR, LVc, SD43 etc, all on the same day and you'e telling me Ads aren't selling to greys..... Food for thought
