Bell & Ross Instrument Gets Fancy New Skin With The BR01-94 Pro Titanium
Well hello there Bell & Ross! I see you have a little new card up your sleeve this year. I didn't really think you'd get too many buyers for your exorbitantly expensive uber-tourbillon watch with unnecessary features like a "trust indicator." I trust you enough alreadyYou really just wanted to do a design study and get people excited about future designs. Now you've taken the new fanged case design, updated number fonts, more moderns hands, and presented us with something new. It is even in titanium to make that 46mm case feel down right light on your wrist. While the dimensions stay more or less the same, the overall look of the case is much more detailed and sophisticated than previous generation BR01 watches. The new Bell & Ross BR01-94 Pro Titanium takes the Bell & Ross Instrument icon and extends it even further. They have played around with the more modern look for a while now, but I really think they have it with this one. Although the case is square, there is a octago
15300ST vs. 15202ST Jumbo (blue vs. blue)
So, I have to admit that I am a complete embarrassment and a fool that I had no clue about the Royal Oak and ROC line until 2017 (And I call myself a watch collector??). After seeing my boy Howie's 26300 blue, I was completely mesmerized by the case, super fine details, the gorgeous blue and was just blown away. While I am a few years late to the party, it is better late than never. I was lucky enough to source both 15300St and 15202 Jumbo and wow... they are just superb pieces and so enjoyable in their own ways. I probably will wear both for a while and see which one jives better and stays. So far, I prefer the thickness and bracelet of 15300 but the darker shade of blue on the 15202 dial is just absolutely sexy. Yes, the cal 2121 movement is awesome to check out too.2 new (late) entrants into the collection that have pushed all the Rolex aside and yes, blue is the new black
Production Year?
Is there anyway to tell what year your movement/case was produced? I know Patek has the information in their books..and will give it to you for CHF 100...Obviously you can narrow the years down to when they made a watch, and any changes within line, but is there a way to figure out the birthday of your watch without payig for the history of the watch?I couldn't find an answer from a quick search.Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend
Is The Thrill is Gone?????
Why does there be to be so little excitement for this brand anymore. Outside of the hardcore devotees, it seems the brand is almost viewed negatively these days. Aftermarket prices, certainly reflecting the lack of interest.Would love to get some thoughts from the hardcore Panera lovers. I've always enjoyed these great timepieces.
Finally, I can relax...
Just got this yesterday from my new favorite AD! Like so many others, I love everything about it. Now I can stop all the worrying about if I would ever be able to source one from an AD or if I could accept going the grey route and paying a premium. This will be the 4th Rolex in my collection and I think the last for a little while, as it checks all the boxes for me.SD43_412.jpg
