Chopard Happy diamonds transformed into Happy Sport
First, there was the Chopard Happy diamonds, which then transformed into Happy Sport, which then transformed into a pile of weird watches that were only eclipsed by the saturated world of forgery. The original concept was great, and then I think that Chopard just forgot what was the whole point of the watch. As a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the brand, Chopard has released a new Happy Sport Watch finally feels fresh, still connected to the original concept of Happy Diamonds.
Hands-On: The Urwerk UR-1001 TITAN
Remember the Urwerk UR-1001 Zeit Device? It was a crazy complicated pocket watch of sorts that kept time in increments ranging from one second on up to the passing millennia. The device was introduced back in 2012, and it has remained something of a curiosity from the brand. While it never occurred to us that one might want to strap the Zeit Device to the wrist, that’s exactly what Urwerk has done with the latest iteration, the UR-1001 “TITAN.” It has all the craziness of the pocket watch, but this time with a removable wrist strap. 1 OF 4 The UR-1001 “TITAN” gets its name from the new titanium case. The original was stainless steel with a AlTiN (Aluminium Titanium Nitride) surface treatment. The remains largely untouched, including its dimensions, which clock in at 106 mm x 62 mm x 23 mm. The new case is far lighter, in both appearance and weight, now appearing more silvery than the black of the original. 2 OF 4 Like other Urwe
AP ROC service costs
I've been offered an absolutely stonking deal on a WG 25960BC. It is an F-serial with no service history. It's running +10s and 295deg amplitude and 0,5ms beat error, so even though it's not really screaming for it yet, I think it could benefit from a service.Does anyone have info about the real service costs for the Royal Oak Chronos? I can't find them anymore from APs website, and Google gives such a crazy range of prices, some simply I heard from my friend credibility. So, has anyone actually went through and serviced their AP chrono at AP? What were the costs?
Incoming- Vintage Diver
I've always admired the Omega Seamaster 300 vintage diver. Today I was presented one during a trade- This Omega ended up on my wrist. Can't wait to find a nice shark bracelet..., Yes, it's old and worn, but I am always drawn to vintage divers from many makes...
Rolex service question / advice
Hi guys,Sorry if this has been covered before.I have asked the RSC in Melbourne to quote a service on my 25 year old datejust. They want to replace the dial and hands stating that the lume has started to crack and may then interfere with the operational parts down the track. Question, I asked to have these parts returned but they refuse to do so. I know it's not a collectible or valuable piece, but is it better to try and keep it as original as possible or freshen it up?Any advise would be appreciated.
