Couple pics of some stuff I tried on yesterday
I apologize in advance for the bad cell phone pics, the champagne got the best of me at the boutique. I have to say though the new seamaster felt really good on my wrist. Almost had a hard time putting my Rolex back on after trying on all the Omegas. I can't wait until they're for sale.
Buying a Rolex from a former AD
Okay guys, this one has me losing sleep.I met a jeweler who used to be an AD. He has a watch that I am interested in, that is new old stock. He says he bought it, among others, with his AD license back when he was an AD, then lost the Rolex line, and never sold it. I asked him if the watch will still have Rolex warranty if I purchase it, and he said yes (if I am not mistaken, but I am confident this is what he was said. He said yes, and I will give you in store warranty too or something like that.)I am having a hard time believing this because I know that an AD activates the warranty at the date of sale to a customer.Since he bought the watch, lost the Rolex line, and still hasn't sold the watch, if I buy it, I feel like I am buying from a grey dealer as opposed to an AD, and so he can't activate the warranty, because he is no longer an AD.Am I right? Can you all share your thoughts please?Just a rookie trying to learn
Dial consistent w/ flat 4 LV
A seller local to me that Ive become friendly with offered me this LV tonight. I chat with him at his jewelry stand every time I pick up soup for the little lady. I'm tempted due to the recent sky rocketing pricing. Might be incredibly tough to get one day. But no box and no papers which is ultimately fine. I'd wear it happily, but I'd still like to comfirm if it's authentic. No engraved rehaut.
First Rolex - Date model champaign dial with white font - is that unusual?
Hello!I'm new to all of this. I got what I believe to be a reasonable deal on my first Rolex. It's a Date model from the early 80's. As I've looked around at pictures of other similar models after I've purchased it from a reputable jeweler, I've noticed I haven't seen any other champaign color dials with white print. Sorry about the photo quality. Should I be concerned? Thanks!
Your watches and your ink?
We've had vehicles, steering wheels, wallets, attire and even drinks. For a little Friday fun how about your watch and your tattoos?Appreciate that its not everyone's thing but I've seen a few on here and this appears to be a friendly and non judgemental forum Here's one of my ongoing work in progress (with my Sub, of course )
