WATCH WINNER REVIEW: Traser Classic Automatic Master Watch
In March?of 2015, the monthly giveaway watch on watches-dealer was a Traser Classic Automatic Master watch. The winner was Sylvain D. from Miami, Florida, USA, and after enjoying his new timepiece, he has shared with us a watch winner review for you C the watches-dealer audience. Thanks to Sylvain?and all the other watch winners who share their experiences with the world. Here is Sylvain's?review:I was really thrilled when I heard that I had won the Traser Classic Automatic Master, one of only two automatic models in Traser's catalog. This would be my first watch with Tritium tubes, a technology that I had long admired and really wanted to try. On the other hand, I was a bit worried about the size of the watch; at 46mm, this is the largest watch in my collection, and I tend to prefer watches in the 40-42mm range.Appearance:I was pleasantly surprised when I took the watch out of its box: it looks better in the steel than it did in photos. I'm not a big fan of stainless steel bezels with
The Value Proposition: The Omega Seamaster 30, A Time-Only Classic From The 1960s
Maybe new watches aren’t your thing. And that’s perfectly alright – the appeal of vintage watches just can’t be ignored. Owning and wearing a piece of history on your wrist is undeniably poetic. But if the deep world of horology has taught us anything, it’s that there’s always something to be discovered, and those discoveries can be made at all price points. For the first vintage edition of The Value Proposition, we’ll take a look at the Omega Seamaster 30, a quiet mid-century classic that hits the all right notes. While the Omega Seamaster range was created in 1948, the first Omega Seamaster 30 wasn’t introduced until 1962. The “30” in the model name refers not to the depth of water resistance, but instead to the size of the movement. Omega’s 30mm hand-wound movements proved exceedingly popular and were produced in large quantity in the mid twentieth century, ending with Calibre 269. The first Seamaster 30 watches used C

Aquanaut date wheel sticking
Looking for an opinion here. The date wheel on my 5167 Aquanaut sticks from time to time and doesn't roll over fully. Making a minor adjustment to the date will fix it and it works fine most days. I'm not sure if there's a pattern but I think I've noticed this happening around the 17-18-19th of the month.Questions for the forum: 1. Is this a known issue with this movement? 2. I still have time on the warranty. Should I send it in? Only hesitating because Patek says it will be 5 months if work's needed.
Happy wife ... Happy life
While on vacation last month, my wife was trying on a few different DJ31s. They didn't have a combination that she liked and they also were asking for $6350US (which I though was high). Came home and went to local AD. Wifey really wanted a white dial, tried it on and it didn't do it for her. Tried on a few more and this one really sang to her. I personally liked the fluted, blue dial w/ diamonds. She didn't like fluted and she didn't like diamond dial. As long as she is happy, now I have an excuse to buy myself something :) Price on watch was $7200 cad, got it for $6250 cad (about 13% off). Maybe I'll buy the fluted blue diamond dial one.And I did say make sure you don't drop it in front of me.
