Girl Tech: Franck Muller Presents The World's Smallest Tourbillon Watch In A Feminine Little Package
This has to be one of the most cutesy luxury watches I have ever seen. And at a price that is going to be well over $60,000 it might need some growing up to do. Underneath the heart shaped bridge lies the world's smallest production tourbillon in a watch. The small tourbillon escapement is just 11.6mm wide. Very small, indeed. The rest of the new Franck Muller Tourbillon Lady 3080 T is equally petite. The 18k white gold tonneau shaped case is 42mm high, and 30mm wide. Surprisingly, it is only 10mm thick, which makes it very thin for a tourbillon watch. It is manually wound in-house movement with 80 hours of power reserve in two barrels. Pretty nice for a such a small watch. On the back of the case is another sapphire window for a view of the movement.I think about the placement of this watch in the market. You don't need to make "the world's smallest tourbillon" in a man's watch, as that sort of defeats the idea of today's men's watch which are large. Franck Muller still wanted to embod
Affordable Vintage: The Bullitt Benrus
Hitting the auction block this weekend is Steve McQueen's 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4.? With estimates ranging from $8-12 million, the car is on track to break sales records and demonstrates that the King of Cool's legacy is still very much alive.? More than thirty years after his death, everything the man touched remains Cool with a capital C.? That's certainly the case with watches, where the models that McQueen wore command a premium in the market.? For most buyers, that means a McQueen watch C a blue-dial Heuer Monaco 1133B, a Rolex Submariner 5512, or a Hanhart 417 C is in Grail territory. However, there is a far less well known and far more attainable McQueen watch, and that's what we're looking at today: the Benrus Series #3061 black dial.? It's what we like to call the Bullitt Benrus. When McQueen took delivery of his Ferrari 275 in 1967, he was in the middle of filming what would become arguably his most famous film: Bullitt.? The movie follows San Francisco cop Frank Bullitt (McQue
New to watch collecting and need some buying advise
So I say I'm new to watch collecting because I never thought of it as collecting. Recently my teenager started getting into watches and he realized while I don't actually wear a watch all that often I happen to have a few from back in my going to an office daily days. So I took out the old watches and with some googling how some were still in style while others never became classics like my tricolor gold Rolex (yes it was tacky when I got it but weren't we all). I sold most of them and only kept the ones with sentimental value. Here is where I get to needing advise. I want to start wearing a watch again on a daily basis. So I want to get a new or slightly pre-owned one. I'm thinking of an PP aquanaut or AP Royal Oak. I have excluded wearing a PP Nautilus on a daily basis, too fragile and scratchable. I know I'm in the AP forum here, but I figure the PP one will always say buy a PP. One more thing, my son says I should just buy a new Blue Milgauss with green tint since I'm always

AP 15202 vs. PP 5712
Are they redundant? Looking for a balanced collection....I have 7.5 in wrists. Does one have more wrist presence than the other? I'm hoping one is more discrete and one is a bit more fun
