The new dial is brass, patinated using a sculpture restoration technique that turns it dark grey. Once that's done, they mill out the indices, moon and date dot to reveal the brass beneath.The hands are also brass, satinized instead of patina finsihed, with a hand-painted second hand. My First Breitling!
I'm the first to admit, I'm not a TRUE Breitling fanatic. It's through a weird turn of events that I ended up with this watch. There doesn't seem to be much info regarding it, other then it was produced for one year in 2004 and this particular model was limited to 100 pcs. It's a shame it's only 41.5mm, I wish it were 44mm, but I am enjoying it none the less. Plus it looks good in my watch winder next to my DSSD and PAM 270. Anybody know where I can get a new factory strap for a good price?

History of my 243
Gents, I am trying to find out about my watch. It is an I series 2006 243. Purchased by the original owner at Tourneau in N.Y back in Dec 2006. At some point in its life it has been PVD coated and when I purchased some time ago it was unworn. I am trying to establish where and when the PVD was applied. I will get some pictures up over the weekend.Hope someone can help.Cheers.
