Cuervo y Sobrinos Robusto Manjuari 1882 Dual Time Diver Watch
In honor of Monty Python's Meaning of Life, let's play "find the fish." Can't find it in the watch? That is odd. Cuervo y Sobrinos named this new watch after the Manjuari - an ancient fish which goes by a lot of names and is better known as the Cuban Gar or Alligator Gar around these parts. If CyS would have called it the "Gar" (Gaaarrr!!) it would have sounded too much like a pirate watch. Wait a minute, isn't this the brand that already has pirate themed watches? Ahem, click here. Manjuari has a much more Indian than Cuban sound to it right?Anyhow, despite the excessively odd name (and scary looking pre-Cambrian fish), this watch is worth noticing as being a pretty excellent two time zone dive watch. Not a GMT exactly, but it has two time zones in 12 hour formats. This is good for people who like having two times at a glance, but aren't comfy reading time in a 24 hour format. The watch also has a big date function which I like. The only thing missing is a day/night indicator for the

5070P ..is the market getting insane ?
I love this watch and for me it is the perfect piece but I have to admit I am biased because I am a HUGE 5070 fanPersonal taste oaf course but for me it is the most perfect watch ever madeOn the other hand .. a 5970 is in the same league. Very nice an probably the second most perfect ever made LOLOfcourse the complication is more interestingBut since when is a 5070P more expensive then a 5970G ???These are 3 links to a well known secondhand dealer. This must be one of the most important if you look at his stock!5070P.watches.de/en/products/pa...num-5070p-3582and.watches.de/en/products/pa...e-sealed-5070p5970.watches.de/en/products/pa...01-5970-g-3403Hugh ????Is rarity so important ?Another member on this forum once called the 5070P the million dollar watch because of it's potential.Once again, a great watch that 5070P but where will it end ?If you had one would a big price jump convince you to sell it ? Or if you don't have one there must be a limit right ?
Nautilus 5711P
Yes, it does exist I can share you this information which I got from 3 different people ( being my AD and 2 people who work for Patek. The 5711P is not a piece unique They made a very small numer of them, one source about 10 , another said 15. They were made only for the Patek salons .... BUT they will be made for the regular dealers too. The number will be very limited. It is not a limited edition but know that they won't or can't make a few hundred of them per year, probably a few dozen per year. The price is CHF 85K or almost the same as a 5960P which has an anual calendar + chrono. So the 5711P is a super nice and discrete watch but if you can get a 5960P for almost the same price ... not an easy choice anymore. Do you want to pay for rarity or do you prefer to get complications for that price ?
Finally Joined the GMT Club...
As the title states, I finally took the plunge and joined the GMT Master Club... Yeap, after a three week wait, and an outstanding salesman at the local AD, I am the happy and proud owner of a BLNR.Initially, I was almost convinced that I wanted either a DJ II or the newer DJ 41. Visited an AD in Germany to try one on and found the DJ 41 to be a beautiful piece but a bit too small for my liking. I then joined this forum and started lurking around and learning every bit I could about the Rolex brand and its different model variations. This is when the GMT truly caught my attention.About three weeks ago, I went out to take my parents around, whom were vacationing in the area. I decided to go into the Rolex website to see if there was an AD nearby. To my surprise there was one very close by. As I walked towards the AD, I came across another high-end/luxury watch store which is not an AD. Right there on the window they had a brand new BLNR. Went in to try it on but they wanted €1,200
