Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute Blacksteel Limited Edition Watch
When you think of watches associated with space (and space programs), it probably calls to mind the Omega Speedmaster, or perhaps the Poljot Strela. Did you know that Breitling also has a watch associated with the great space race of the mid-20th century? It did, and Breitling is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the watch's flight into space.On May 24th, 1962, a Breitling Navitimer was on the wrist of Lt. Cmdr. Scott Carpenter as he orbited the Earth three times in an Aurora 7 capsule. What separated this watch from others of its day was the fact that it featured a 24-hour dial, allowing for easy demarcation between day and night (which isn't an easy thing to do when you're orbiting the globe). A couple years ago Breitling released a limited edition Navitimer Cosmonaute in honor of Mr. Carpenter's mission (hands-on here). Now, in 2013, Breitling has released the Navitimer Cosmonaute Blacksteelin black steel.Of course, this model harkens back to its predecessor of fifty years ago.

His band of White Leather joined a round stainless steel case, with longer pins for a women's effect. Lake-studded rhinestone stainless steel bezel frames a mother-of-Pearl Dial with rhinestone dot hour indicators. Hands tapered, Luminescent, a subdial at 06 position and a logo of Kenneth Cole at 12 complement this quartz-powered timepieces. This watch is resistant to 99 feet (30 m).

Rory McIlroy Omega
I was watching the final round of the PGA yesterday and they had an Omega ad with Rory McIlroy in it a couple times. I'm new to the Omega scene, but I really liked the watch they showed (pictured below). Can anyone tell me more about this model, good or bad, and give me an idea of the cost? Thanks in advance

For 4 years up until last year I happily wore the previous version Planet Ocean on my wrist. It was a great watch, a design I admired, a watch I assumed would be my grail when it first came out in 2005. To me it had everything, seamaster history, a great design, quality finish and was comfortable to wear. After buying the Explorer 2 (which I confess to being my favourite watch) the Sub C just wasn't getting any wrist time. The Sub C is far too nice a watch not to be worn and there was no way I could afford to have an object of such value sit in a box, so I decided to flip it. Opinion needed on an Omega
Hi guys,I'm new to the forums. I was referred here by a member of a car forum. Anyhow, I'm looking into purchasing an Omega in the very near future. So far I've narrowed it down to either the Seamaster 300 M chrono diver or the 300 M chronometer.The design of the chrono diver is a bit more striking but the chronometer has the co-axial escapement. So I have two questions for you guys: which should I go with (which would YOU go with)?? and if I go with the 300 M chronometer, should I go with the quartz or automatic (any major things I should know about)??I'm new to watches for please forgive my ignorance. Thank you for any advice/opinion in advance!!
