So I went to my local AD today and they are not...
....interested in selling any watches! I won't mention any names or anything but check my sig and you can probably figure out which AD. I have been looking for a 3570.50 for a while and have been quoted a great price thanks to some advice from a few members on here, but I wanted to give a local dealer a chance first. Not only was I given very little help but once I made an offer I was treated kind of rudely by one salesperson. I guess my earlier purchases didn't bear any weight either (as well as my dirty jeans, boots and ball cap appearance) as I was told that they were not allowed to discount Omega in fear of getting in trouble. When I told the sales lady what I had been quoted from another out of state AD she felt like she needed to give me a class on buying a nice watch! Oh well!! The only thing I really asked for was to save me the taxes off the price they had on the watch which is still a few hundred over what I had been quoted by the other AD. Maybe I came across rude t

[I searched the forum, but it looks like this hasn't been covered before]Seeing the new PP book with the font so largely printed got me wondering what the font was... A quick Google search provided the answer: Monotype Grotesque Regular. The best links are on Wikipedia Foundry was an American company that developed a machine for typesetting, and Grotesque is one the fonts that was produced there, around 1926. It did not do as well as other Monotype fonts like Futura and Gill Sans, which had a cleaner look.Perhaps someone can identify the first use of this font by PP?J
