A New Case for an Old Classic: Patek Philippe’s New Calatravas
Patek Philippe has a well-deserved reputation for being rather conservative in its watch designs and rarely giving in to transient trends. Thus, even a subtle change to one of its classic models garners attention among watch cognoscenti. At this year’s Baselworld, the brand introduced the new Ref. 5227, a Calatrava in a slightly larger case and a new, hinged dustcover over the exhibition caseback. The first Calatrava, Reference 96, was launched in 1932, the same year that Patek Philippe was acquired by its longtime owners, the Stern family, and has been a mainstay of the brand’s portfolio ever since. And while most watch aficionados know that Patek Philippe is a full-fledged manufacture that makes its own movements, many may not realize that for decades now it has also made its own cases, from sketches to final, polished product. Thus it is with pride that the company touts the new “officer’s style” case of the Ref. 5227, which is slightly larger than those

Anybody here have a ROO Grand Prix?
since receiving my 26400so last week I am amazed by how nice these 44 ROO's are on the wrist. After flipping my way through the 15400 2x, diver 2x, and a volcano I took a hiatus from the brand as I thought it just wasn't for me. Well I couldn't be more wrong Anyway I really love the look of the FC and especially the Grand Prix. I would love to here some feedback about the FC ROO's!!!
Warranty Card After Service?
I just bought a limited edition SMP expecting a complete set but was surprised to see that the warranty card is missing. Can this still be considered complete? Seller claims that the warranty card was held by the AD and he never received it. He also says that I will get a new named warranty card if I get it serviced so it won't impact my resale value. Is this true? Didn't think that Omega would send out a new warranty card after service. What's the impact to resale value for a limited edition with missing warranty card? Thanks!
Got me thinking..
Should I just sell the BLNR and keep the SkyD?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
