My day at the AD
Yesterday I decided that today is the day to go down and try on some AP's. Granted I have tried on a 15300 before but that was it and I really wanted to see what they were all about as I love them in pics. Well, my closest AD is 2 and a half hours so I woke up early and took a half day at work then made the drive down to Naples. I must say that the AD could not have been any nicer. Their staff treated me like a VIP client even though I told them I had no interest in buying today and that I was just looking. I ended up talking watches for about 2 hours in there and had an absolute blast! Definitely worth the 5 hours in the car yesterday. Onto what i tried on. The first watch I tried on was a IWC Ingeniuer..no pics but a cool watch nonetheless. After fooling around with that and some other pieces for a bit I finally made it to the AP SectionThe first AP I tried on was the ROO Panda on a bracelet. WOW!! I always liked this watch in pictures but when I tried it on, I knew it was for me. Un
Got my dream Breitling this week!
I have wanted the Breitling Blackbird ever since I first got into watches. I finally found the deal I have been looking for, and better yet, it was a black-eye blue-dial version with blue croco deployment strap! I love the pilot bracelet so now I can swap my 355A from my Headwind with the croco strap when I want as well.
Lusting after SM Professional - How much should I get for my PO?
Am currently seeking a Speedmaster Moonwatch, now the situation is, I have to sell my Planet Ocean to buy it. Can anyone kindly advise me on how much I should expect for my 42 mm PO?It was purchased December 2008. The serial on the lug matches all the credit cards, and also the cream hangtag. It is immaculate, I cant wear watches in my place of work and I dont get much free time, so it has been sat in a box. Im seeking a moonwatch as I love the history connected to it. My little boy loves anything to do with space also, so Im hoping this is the one I'd like him to inherit which is pretty morbid I know. One bought on the same year of his birth would be perfect also!
Anyone miss the date function on Speedy Pro?
I've lurked for some time on Omega forums, I wonder what you Speedy owners think of the Speedy with its lack of date.I cud go with a Speedy model with auto movmnt and date, but to me, the Speedy Pro with black dial, manual movement hexalite crystal is the bedrock Speedy. But i use my date function on other watches at work and wud wonder if i'd regret not having the date after a while........thoughts?SV
