UTS Adventure Power Reserve Watch With Breguet-Like Inspiration
The watch above is the newer-ish UTS Adventure Power Reserve watch. UTS is a hardcore boutique tool watch maker in Germany, with a very dedicated production team and a small volume of watches made each year. It is rare that they release a totally new product, and for Basel World, that is just what they have done. The Adventure Power Reserve really don't look like anything else in their line up. In my opinion, is strongly similar to the below Breguet Moon Phase Power Reserve Ref. 7137BA/11/9V6. Minus the moon phase of course. Is that a striking dial similarity or what?Inside the Adventure Power Reserve is a manually wound Unitas caliber 6497-1 that has been modified with a power reserve indicator. It is a simple, but hardy movement. I would have liked to see a more complex movement for what this watch will inevitably cost. UTS has always been known for high quality cases, this being among them. It is a look that further appears nicer on your arm, than off your arm. The bolted case look
Novelty question from an AP rookie
I always figured I would add a royal oak to my collection at some point, but I was all set that my next watch would be the Glashutte chronograph. Then I saw the new AP grey dial (novelty). I've been wanting a nice gray dial for a while, and I can see me loving this watch forever. I searched this forum and couldn't find too much general info on AP novelties. I assume these will be produced in limited number? How many years are they generally in production? Can I expect a big price jump?Big thanks to everyone that can provide some knowledge

New Speedmaster Legend
Well, I was torn between the 16610lv/deep sea, and my 1 year+ desire to get a Speedmaster Legend. I think I was ready to pull the trigger on the 16610lv, but I wanted to look at the Speedmaster one last time.Well, I walked into the AD and they had the Speedmaster Legend. I tried it on, and it felt great but didn't have the weight and heft of the Deep Sea. I liked the quality, but the movement was really what was the most impressive. Seeing the stop watch going at the same time as the second hand reminded me off seeing the Tach and Speedometer in my 993. It was a done deal. As an added bonus, being a backyard racer, I liked the roots of this watch. The price they gave me on this watch which I have coveted for over a year was WAY too good to pass up. I pulled the trigger. This should hold me over.......until I convince the wife that my fledgling collection is a little light and incomplete without a deep sea.
The three Patekteers
Pulled these out of the safe tonight for a quick family trio photo. Maybe not your perfect three Pateks, but it's my trifecta! Thanks again to this community for the brand insights and enabling....
