11th Hour before Purchase. Help me decide.
Hey guys, I'm at the 11th hour before my first AP purchase. On the fence on three different models and would love TRF feedback on which to get.My collection to date consists mostly of conservative type pieces, Rolex, IWC, and PP.I'm looking for something a little different, and I've found three pieces that for some reason, are all different, but tough for me to decide. Famous last words, but I'm trying to stick to purchasing only one piece of each brand going forward, there are just too many brands out there for me that I would like to try. I also tend to not sell watches if possible.I do have to wear suits most of the week, but I have plenty of watches that work with suits, so this would be the leisure purchase, so to speak.1) AP ROO 44 Steel - loudest of the bunch, a piece I love looking at, a little gun-shy about going with something so pronounced.2) AP RO Skeleton Steel - something closer to what I'm used to in terms of size, love the skeleton (hence why the millenary appeals to me
First Post + First Watch
I am 43 years old and I never wore watches. I decided to embark on a journey to seek out the perfect watch for me. I started with various watches and I ended up shortlisting it to two. The Rolex Daytona and the Omega Speedmaster Professional. I decided on the Omega for various reasons: NASA History, Classic Chronograph and I loved the presentation box. I passed on the Rolex because the cost was almost 3x and the availability was limited (long wait-list). The decision then was which version of the Speedmaster Professional to get. So I looked at both of them online in detail. Read all the reviews. I also went to an Omega Authorized Dealer to see both up close and personal. At 6'1 190 LBS and 6.75 wrist, I was concerned the watch would be slightly too big. After seeing them and trying them, by initial thought was true, the solid back with the hesalite crystal was the only choice for me.The last part was, where to buy it and how much should I spend. I narrowed it down to CH Je
What to do... Sell... Keep. I can't decide. What are thoughts?
I have a mid-size Omega Seamaster Professional that I bought for myself brand new back in 1997. Loved the watch and it served me well to this day. I've always had is serviced at Swatch Canada Group in Toronto, 3 times and the last visit I had the works done to it and the lume is nice and bright again. Anyhow, now that I have my two Rolex watches that I enjoy very much I no longer wear the Seamaster and it is just sitting in the safe. I keep swinging back and forth as to whether or not I should sell it. Sometimes I think I should hold onto it and hope that the used price for Omega watches go up. Or just bite the bullet and sell at close to market value. What are your advices? Thanks
Can someone justify the new Mares 10k price tag?
Love the look but am having a hard time justifying 10k for an eta movement watch.
