Parmigiani Fleurrier Appoints Marcia Mazzocchi as General Manager of the Americas
Parmigiani Fleurier has announced the appointment of Marcia Mazzocchi as General Manager of the Americas, effective January 3rd, 2011. Ms. Mazzocchi will lead the brand in its efforts to develop a stronger presence in North and South America. Ms. Mazzocchi has an extensive background and knowledge of the luxury watch industry, having recently held the post of U.S. President of the Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard brands. Ms. Mazzocchi has also served as U.S. President of A. Lange & S?hne, where she played a key role in the growth and development of sales and distribution channels in North, South and Central America as well as the Caribbean market. Before that, Ms. Mazzocchi held the position of West Coast Manager and event marketing for IWC.The appointment of Ms. Mazzocchi coincides with Parmigiani's announcement of the opening of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Parmigiani Fleurier Distribution Americas, based in Miami, FL, in order to take direct control of its U.S. distribution.Parm

Sinn 358 Chronograph Watches
Almost under the radar comes this new Sinn 358 watch. Did I intend to make that initial statement because this is a pilot watch? No but it works. I love timepieces like this that are all tool and do not look like they are made to be worn by tools. German Sinn watches continue to make me happy for mostly dismissing the pressures of the high-end watch world to upmarket all decent watches out there. Not that Sinn watches are cheap, but rather that they mostly feel fairly priced.The 358 collection is a good sign because it shows Sinn increasing the sizes of a few of their core collection watches. In essence, the 358 is a larger version of the outgoing 356. At 42mm wide, the 358 offers a more modern and Western-appealing version of the 356's 38.5mm wide case.
