Interview: John Simonian, Wrist Watch Entrepreneur, Owner of Westime Los Angeles
He pointed out the outline of tape on the floor. That will be my desk. He preferred I not take pictures of him at his temporary desk. A handyman was drilling audibly in the other room while on a ladder. This is John Simonian's new office space. A short stroll from the previous location, no doubt the shrewd businessman took advantage of depressed real estate market to upgrade his surroundings roughly tripling the size of his domain. Though most people who indirectly do business with John won't ever see it, save for a few select clients who are fortunate. Simonian is the owner of Westime, the popular luxury watch store situated around the corner off Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Though he really does a lot more than that. The watch don is friendly at his desk. His own office includes a conference table and toys. I recognize the wisdom of having company meetings in the room he feels most comfortable in, that is him. Soft in his tone and extremely congenial, my impressions of John all b
Would you make this trade?
As some of you might know, I've had my 44 RG since new. I loved (and still do) the size, contrast in the dial and heft. But.. it is one heavy watch! Considering that I have a YG DDII and a YG sub, I was thinking of swapping the RG for the new ceramic. Here's a pic of the collection for a little juice.
Limited edition: better used with papers or grey bnib without?
Title says it all and I'd like your opinion: I've been on the hunt for a LE which does not frequently come up for sale, and located one in very nice condition. It is being sold by the second owner and was bought new from AD in 2011. This is a complete set, with all papers (although no remaining warranty, I believe).Simultaneously, there is a grey market website (for this exercise, assume the website is legit) which has one for sale BNIB, though it comes with boxes and manuals only. Any necessary warranty work would be covered by the grey dealer's warranty, not Breitling's. I would never use this outside warranty, probably sending the watch to BSC if I ever needed any work done. Furthermore, as the website states that the watch comes with boxes and manuals, I'm unsure if the LE certificate would be included, although I see no reason why it shouldn't, since they usually only remove the warranty card. The price difference between these watches would be $1350 (5150 bnib grey and 3800 used c

Way behind the curve here when it comes to Omega. My first nice watch was an Omega Seamaster (still have it). I saw this article and it concerned me - is this true? Try to disregard the tone and his lack of manners:.askmen/fashion/mens-w...-to-omega.html
SS DJ41: Which Dial for me?
I'm not making a move in the very near future, but probably before the end of the year, so there's no rush, if that makes any difference. This poll will be mostly limited to my candidates.I had things narrowed down to Rhodium and Blue, but Basel World threw me for a loop with this new Rhodium w/Green Roman Numeral dial... Damn!and YES, I'm definitely going with the Jubilee Bracelet and Fluted bezel. Thanks!
