Concorso Italiano Tees It Up for 2009
Concorso Italiano is a 24 year tradition during the Monterey classic car weekend, which includes the Pebble Beach Concourse, Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca, and several high-profile auto auctions. Held on golf links in the past, the Concorso moved to the Marin City airport last year where the acres of tarmac inspired little love among attendees and participants. For 2009 the Concorso is heading back to the fairways. This year’s event will be held at the Laguna Seca Golf Ranch. The Concorso will take place on Friday August 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are available through May 31 for $85 per person. After that, the price increases to $100. Your ticket includes on-site parking. The entry is $125 through May 31 and increases to $175 starting June 1. Entry fees for non-Italian cars are slightly higher. For more information, visit concorso. Stay tuned to for reports from the show.
AP ROO Lava (LE of 99) - Thoughts, Opinions?
Looking for a new AP and was wondering if anyone here had any personal experience with the AP Lava LE of 99. I've attached a pic for reference for those who have no idea what I'm talking about. For a do it all AP, do you think it's a bit flashy or too over the top? I've tried to find pics online, but it's hard to get a glimpse of what the watch looks like in real life. I'm a serial flipper and wonder if I should hold out for something else. I currently have a 42mm 26170 but really want something ceramic with an open caseback (possibly the diver). My wrists are 6.25 and really don't think I could move up to the 44mm (26400) which I think is stunning - apart from the size. I have an opportunity to pick one up for a good price, and wanted the input of fellow enthusiasts. Any thoughts?
Speedy question
Hi all. I have been hunting for a 3570.50 for the past months. I saw some pretty good deals out there but somehow I didn't pull the trigger. Then recently I stumble upon a newer reference of 3570.50 (311.30.42.30.01.005) from a reputable seller. The overall watch is in good condition and it comes with all the box, papers, and accessories.I am about to pay $3250 to this seller. So advice would be greatly appreciated as I am going to bank today. Thanks,Ringo
