Introducing: The Senfine Concept Watch From Parmigiani Fleurier, With An Amazing Escapement That Allows A 70 Day Power Reserve
?At any given SIHH or Baselworld, you’re obviously always going to see a plethora (to put it mildly) of new watches, but one thing you don’t see very often is a new escapement. That’s because designing a new escapement – much less one that can actually be produced in large enough numbers to be commercially viable – is probably the single biggest problem in watchmaking. Over the centuries since the very first – the verge escapement – was used in clocks, there have really been only a handful that have been used extensively, and in watchmaking, it’s a virtually certainty that any watch you buy is going to have a lever escapement. But not this one. 1 OF 7 Omega now uses the Daniels co-axial escapement in all its in-house movements but it was a huge challenge for them to make it and enormously expensive in both time and money to industrialize, and departures from the lever in modern watchmaking tend to be made in very small numbe
Best Flip Method
I have a question for those members here that are experienced in flipping AP's or other high end brands. What form of sale is recommended? Trade in to AD or selling it yourself on Ebay, Chrono24, and etc... How much of a price difference can one expect between the 2 methods? Thanks in advance!
Omega Servicing Question
Am thinking of buying a pre-loved 3570.50 as per my previous thread on the Speedmaster and was wondering how Omega deals with servicing used watches? Is it like Rolex where they don't really care who owns the watch? They just service it, charge you an arm and leg to service, then ship it back with a 2yr warranty in your name? Thanks,Eric
368?
So I thought I was content as far as Panerai goes but I primarily blame Ken's recent pics of his 217 in rekindling my interest. :bang head:I've always loved the 368 and had forgotten about it for a while. Now I'm borderline obsessing. 47mm destro in titanium. Not sure who to credit this pic to that I had saved. You don't see too many out there but feedback and opinions are appreciated.I've been looking into a few options. 368 being at the top right now. Also considering the 372 or 305 (had it for a while and loved it but sold a while back).
GMT Master Itunes app
Does anyone know who runs the GMT Master app on itunes? I had it on my Ipad and Iphone and love the history it gives about the GMT model But with the last update last year, it says that the app itself needs to be updated for the new software update. I like referencing to it sometimes to remind me what models were produced in what year, but now I can not get on it. Anyone else tried to use it or know who runs the app??
