Damasko DC66 Watch Is Venerable Sinn 757 Alternative, Competitor; One Available Now
Superman never really had much competition. He had some villains and of course there was kryptonite, but no one ever challenged him for Supermanliness. Well, the Sinn 757 has been called a superman of watches. It is tough and functional, has lots of powers, and boasts plenty of innovation (I think Superman's powers were innovative at one point). To a degree it stood out, even from other Sinn watches, but recently someone has challenged the Sinn 757 at its own game.Go ahead and call the Damasko DC66 a competitor and a copy to the Sinn 757. Both Damasko and Sinn are German watches companies, both watches look similar, and have what are essentially Valjoux 7750 movements(though the Sinn 757 has a heavily modified version). The Damasko is a clear reiteration of the Sinn, but that is ok. The ripe landscape of watches allows for some repetition when a fruit so bold as the 757 is in high demand. The Damasko DC66 fills a spot enhancing the look fo the Sinn 757 by flattering it, while posing as
Introducing The Montblanc Heritage Chronometrie ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph, Available In Two D
We recently introduced you to Montblanc's Heritage Chronométrie Quantième Annual Calendar, one of a number of recent releases that highlight the brand's capabilities in watchmaking. Not only is Montblanc making relatively affordable, complicated timepieces, but it is also digging into its Minerva roots and applying innovation to movements. For such innovation, look no further than the new Heritage Chronométrie ExoTourbillon Minute Chronograph. 2 OF 6 The 18k red-gold case of the Minute Chronograph is 44 mm wide. The top two-thirds of the dial are dedicated to traditional timekeeping, with a sub dial for the date positioned beneath the base of the hour and minute hands. Two ivory-grained, white-lacquered chronograph sub dials are positioned on
Omega Aqua Terra Quartz
So, recently I was at my local Omega AD. Very lovely people I might add. I tried on a few ATs and strangely the one I fell in love with was the Quartz grey teak dial. The solid build and the solid caseback really won me over. They offered a nice discount to boot. Having always, or mostly, been a mechanical guy; I'm wondering if this is a good move. Any Quartz AT owners care to weigh in? I'm itchy to get one now but I wouldn't mind hearing the opinions of some folks who have one. Thanks!

Any speculations on how the sunburst dials will age?
Original black Rolex dials tend to fade after decades of wear (exposure to sun). Some even crack or develop an orange/brown hue. Any thoughts on how the sunburst dials will age? Is there enough of whatever they have going on that reflects light so well to continue that brilliance even with some significant age? Any chemists out there?
