The really at the beginning for collectors of vintage Rolex is to find one
The really at the beginning for collectors of vintage Rolex is to find one that was completely unmuckedaboutwith (Yes it is a Word, at least, it is now). By this, it never talks before, but rather we are retained with all original parts. This particular 6536 was given to the current owner by his uncle and little worn since.
Seamaster Liquid Metal
Legal advise required. As you know, I've been enquiring about the liquid Metal Limited Edition, at the moment, I won't mention the name of the watch shop but it is in the UK. 2 weeks ago I managed to track down a liquid metal seamaster limited edition, this was done on the phone when the manager of the shop said he had one left that was brand new. I therefore paid ?1000 of my debit card and as the shop is in England, and I live in Scotland, the manager said he would send the watch to Scotland as they have another branch in Scotland. A week later I received a call from the jewellery shop in Scotland stating that my watch was in their possession and was ready for collection and that I would have to pay the outstanding balance when i picked up my watch. I drove down to the shop which is a considerable distance away from my home town at a cost of ?40.00 in petrol. Some days before, I asked the shop assistant to check the watch to see if all the papers were there and that there was no
Head v. Heart
Hey everyone... the recent uptick of posts on the 5164 and 5712 (not to mention the incomings) had me zeroed in on one of the two as my next timepiece. I thought the 5164 would be a great travel companion (live in Tokyo, office in SoCal) and a good stable-mate to my 5146g. I have tried on the 5164 multiple times but never seen a 5712 in the metal. There was just something about the 5712 that I loved. Imagine my surprise when I happened on the AD in SLC last week and they had both available. My head told me that the 5164 should be the next acquisition ... Much more utilitarian with my line of work. But my heart fell for the 5712 - I was always intrigued with the design, but seeing it in the metal was even better. Couldn't afford both - dratt ! - so slept on it a night and decided ... to go ... with my ... HeartNot an ounce of regret - love, love, love the 5712!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5712R is here
Well, the wait is over. AD called on Friday. Watch is in. Went to open the double sealed box. Admired the watch. AD put my name and date of purchase on the COO. Watchmaker sized it and gave it a full wind. Brought the watch home. Watch on wrist for its first day out in the Zuger household on Saturday. Easy.Welcome to the family and may you be on my wrist in forever bliss. Enjoy the wrist shots everyone and happy Sunday. Cheers!
Which GMT to buy? Rolex vs Omega vs Panerai
Hi guys,For some odd reason, I could not create a poll. Anyways, I want your opinion on the next watch purchase to get. Here is what I have so far:1) Sub: 116610LV - aka Hulk2) Datejust 41: Champagne dial with diamond markersFor my next watch purchase, I want to get a GMT complication to round out my collection. I want to have a bit of variety in my collection, that's why I have been looking at Omega and Panerai. Here is the list:1) GMT-Master II: 116710blnr - aka Batman2) Omega PLANET OCEAN 600M CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER GMT 3) Panerai PAM00531Which of these would you guys get? (pictures are incl. for your reference.)Thanks for your opinion.
