SIHH Preview: A. Lange & S?hne Datograph Up/Down
Many collectors consider A. Lange & S?hne's Datograph a must-have timepiece. This newest version, with several enhancements, demonstrates that Lange's engineers can improve on an already-excellent design. The new model features a 41mm platinum case, an extended 60-hour power reserve, a power-reserve indicator, and a proprietary oscillation system. Find wallpaper images inside. When it debuted in 1999, the Datograph was a sensation. The functions, aesthetics, and perhaps above all the movement, generated excitement the world over. A high-resolution image of its caliber L951.1 became desktop wallpaper for collectors wherever the internet reached. The dial, with its instantly-recognizable outsize date and the two bright subsidiary dials, assured legibility and signaled the owner’s appreciation for fine watchmaking. The new Datograph Up/Down embodies these features as well. What meets the eye first is the larger case. The new 41 millimeter size provides added prominence on the
So I was at the Taipei 101 boutique...
over the weekend on holiday and this happened! A proud owner of the black ceramic diver finally. Been trying to get one since the debut. Tough one to come along. While I was there I saw the Perpetual Chronograph offshore in Titanium... Only 35 made. I didn't buy it but darn it's now messing with my head. arhhh... I had plenty of compliments on the RB2 I was wearing... Maybe I should have initiated a trade on my RB2 and extra cash instead and bought the Perpetual too... Who knows, maybe you'll see another incoming thread from me soon...
Always difficult to choose

PAM buckle or clasp?
Hi PAM people!I have a PAM 328 now mounted on a OEM brown aligator strap. I dont mind changing strap, but sometimes to change de buckle can be a pain.I am thinking to buy a new buckle, or a couple. Now the questions, for the OEM straps, can I put a deployant clasp on it? I know some others are thicker. If so, do you recommend it to avoid punishing the strap less? And if so, which one to get? The PAM one is quie expensive, any good ones?If you recommend the buckle, where can I get it? Best,Guillermo
Stuff ADs say...
Thought I'd start a thread on hilarious or outrageous things people here have been told by ADs, or overheard at them.A couple of mine:- The D500 white dial is going to be discontinued in 2018- There's a price increase coming next month, so buy now (October 2017)- Datejusts are hot sellers, no discount is available- This year's short supply of Rolexes are because it takes a year to make themI was also once told a story of how someone committed to buy a $180,000 Rolex, but only on condition he be supplied with 2 D500s, one black and one white dial. The AD produced the watches, and then the guy was like I don't want to buy the $180,000 one anymore, but I'll take those two!
