Talking Watches: With John Mayer
Well, you asked for it. You got it. Today we are proud to launch an entirely new HODINKEE original video series. We're loosely calling it "Talking Watches," and these videos are just that: us, talking watches with our friends, new and old. Basically, we will use these monthly – yes, you'll get a new episode each month from here until eternity – videos to give you insight into the minds of watch collectors you might not come across in your daily life. Guys like John Mayer. In this first video, I sit down with John to talk about how he got into watches, what his first great pieces were, and what's he's been wearing on his latest tour. Since John and I first connected a few years back, I've gotten to know him well via multi-day conversations about double-references, short-lived bezel colors, and what the ideal lume plot should look like. John is as serious a watch lover as anyone I've ever met. In fact, he's downright obsessive. And while

Should I get rid of my PAM and upgrade to a Nautilus
Hi All,I have had my PAM 328 for a little over 5 years and enjoyed it during the time and bought 8-10 different OEM and aftermarket straps to use interchangeably. Now my dilemma is, should I keep it and try to learn to enjoy it like I did once before, or should I just go ahead and sell it now that it is back in mint condition and try to trade up for something better. Recently I tried on the Nautilus 5712 and was amazed at how much more comfortable that felt on my wrist than the PAM. The 5712 is a lot more coin but think it would fit better with my curr
If you could only have 2 PAM to the rest of your life, what would it be?

Is the DD40 an everyday watch?
I'm typically a jeans and a t-shirt kind of guy after work and on weekends, and many times I slip on sweats and Nike's to run errands (I'm mid-30's).That being said, is the DD40 too classy for occasions like this? Am I better off getting the PM Sub?
