Perrelet Launches Alternance 10 In-House Movement
Swiss watch manufacturer Perrelet has added its name to the growing list of manufacture brands with the introduction of an independently produced caliber, an automatic double-rotor movement called Alternance 10, or A10.Perrelet, named for Swiss watchmaking pioneer Abraham-Louis Perrelet, inventor of the automatic watch, has worked toward the goal of vertical integration since its purchase in 2004 by Spanish entrepreneur Miguel Rodriguez, owner of the Festina Group. The company calls the new movement “a decisive step on the path towards autonomous production.”As part of the Festina Group, Perrelet can take advantage of relationships with its sister companies in the Group, such as Soprod, IMM Ineltec, MHVJ and Astral, which produce various components for watch movements. First time submariner buyer
Looking at a stainless 2007/2008 bought new in 2009, 16610 m with box and papers. It had its annual tuneup in 2014 at a Rolex dealer. A few normal scuffs on band but watch itself is perfect. He is asking 6500, was thinking offering 6k. Is this a fair price in today's market? What should I consider or look at before purchasing?
