Autodromo Stradale Review
A new Autodromo is always an exciting thing. Their last few models have each impressed us greatly with ?their style, quality and finishing. Each subsequent model a little more finely tuned than the last; each also seeming to respond a bit more to the wants of the watch enthusiast crowd. With their newest watch, the Stradale, Autodromo has utilized for the first time the growing go-to automatic, the Miyota 9015. An addition I know everyone will be very happy to see.As with their previous models, the Stradales draw inspiration from Italian automotive history (save the Prototipo, which draws from racing chronographs). This time, looking to the Italian Berlinettas (a sport 2-seater coup) of the 50's and 60's. Like those cars, the Stradale is smallish, fun and nimble, featuring a nice mix of sport and class. Rather than being literal about the inspiration, Autodromo went a more subtle route with the design, keeping some of the attitude and a very cool feature from some dashes; floating ind
15300/15400 Silver or Blue Dial
Hi everyone, I've finally been bitten by the AP bug and have decided to pick up either a 15300 or 15400. I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death but I'm torn between dial colors, either silver or blue. I'm leaning towards the blue but I'm beginning to like the silver more and more. Part of me feels that the silver dial may be a little too dressy though. Might be nice to finally have a white, dial in my collection. Also keep in mind that this will most likely be my only AP. Anyways, I'm just curious as to which you chose and why. Wrist shots and any opinions would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
Opinion ROO Schumacher
I'm thinking to buy a ROO Schumacher, (Ti)It will be my first AP ... But I have a pretty small (but flat) wrist (6,5) ... Would it fit a wrist like mine ?To see, and try the watch I need to travel 800 km, so advice is welcome ...Thanks
About to join the Omega family
After 2 years of on/off searching for my first decent watches, I'm about to take the plunge and couldn't be more excited. I'm going to be getting 3 watches to 'start' my collection. I have a lot of love for individual watches by other brands (IWC Portuguese 7 Day Reserve is the grail) but for me, Omega is the best bang for your buck in the pre-owned world, if you aren't a stickler for in house movements. They also happen to make a hell of a lot of nice looking watches.I'll be getting this as my 'do it all' watch, will buy on bracelet and get the OEM brown strap/deployant to change it up- it looks sooo nice on that. Have gone back and forth sooo many times on hesalite vs. sapphire, I cannot help but lean towards sapphire. To change up on weekdays, weekend wear:42MM PO with the 2500D movement. Don't care for the ceramic bezel on the new model, and it's too freaking thick and heavy. I wear dress shirts for work, don't want the hassle of it catching on my sleeves routinely. The older PO is
Radiomir on a Luminor Rubber Strap
I recently picked up a PAM 512 as my daily:The 512 is perfect to me. The P.999 movement is ultra slender so it sits perfectly on my tiny wrists and the 42mm size is on point. A weird part of me really wanted the Radiomir look on a typically-Luminor OEM rubber strap. Thoughts? Am I crazy? Purists, don't hate me!
