Inside The Manufacture: Going Where Few Have Gone Before C Inside All Four Rolex Manufacturing Facil
I will begin this detailed article with a wholly unsurprising admission. I love Rolex. I own more of them than any other watch from any other manufacture, and I have always believed its contribution to watchmaking is beyond measure. But, I have another admission. Of the handful of Rolex watches I own, the youngest dates to 1976 – making it, in fact, older than I am. There is and was a distinct difference between the Rolex of today and the Rolex of yesterday, and I don’t think it would come as a surprise to anyone if I said I preferred that of yesterday. But, that doesn’t mean I don’t have great respect for Rolex of today, nor would it prevent me from encouraging family, friends, and readers to look to the Crown for a new watch today. AP Service Question..
If I buy an AP from a grey market dealer like David SW, when it comes time for service, how do I go about sending the watch to AP? Do I need to register the watch with them or something?..Thanks
AP Forged carbon cases
What is the experience of people owning forged carbon APs and how resilient are they as daily beaters? I'm thinking of getting novelty FC 44mm with ceramic bezel for everyday wear. All relevant info good and bad about the material will be highly appreciatedRegardsUrooj
Blusey for TT Skydweller?
Thinking of flipping my 1 year old ceramic bluesy (excellent condition) for a TT skydweller. Deal on the table with AD is bluesy +$6K for the skyD. Good deal? Would you pull the trigger?
Datejust 116200 oyster clasp
New to the forum, here to ask a question about a concern over my datejust 116200 oyster clasp. I tried to pull out the easy link extension but forgot which part of the clasp the extension was located, I basically pulled on the part that anchors to close the clasp only to realize a few seconds later that The easy link extension was on the opposite side. My question is, how strong/durable is the side of the clasp that I pulled, physically the clasp is working fine but would like to hear anyone who knows more about it.
