Maitres du Temps Chapter One Round Watch
Even some of Maitres du Temps' dream team of designers didn't think this could be done. How do you take a watch like the Chapter One with its top and bottom mounted cylinders and make it round? The tonneau shaped version is large enough as it is. You might be able to make it square, but round? It just didn't make sense. Stillthey did it. Make the watch dial and central part of the case round, and extend the lug segments. Voila! Aside from the shape and style, the Chapter One Round watch has the same movement and functions as the standard Chapter One watch, which I wrote about initially here (more technical), and shared after a hands-on treatment here. Though the Chapter One Round is part of a more limited, limited edition of just 11 pieces, and more expensive than the standard Chapter One. It also retains my favorite part of the Chapter One watch, which are the cool security pushers with the 'slide-then push in' action.Simply calling the watch a round version of the Chapter One doesn't

What do you tell your friends
So I wore the 5167 out on the town on Friday night for some drinks and dancing with friends. In doing so, I created some interesting dance moves to keep people from banging into my watch lol. But anyways, one of my friends was noticing my attire and asked what kinda shirt/pants/shoes I was wearing...then he noticed the watch and asked what kind of watch it was. After I mentioned it was a Patek, having no idea what it was, he asked... and how much was it? My question is, do you guys tell people how much your watches really cost, or do you tell a little white lie to keep from alienating them? I hate getting the statements like why would you buy something like that? or if I had that money I would....blah blah blahIm pretty sure Im not the only one who has to deal with this...so what do you guys do?
Would you buy a 5970p without papers?
I checked that watch is not stolen but papers were misplaced by original owner.I know I can get archive papers next year (after 5 years) but would you buy one without papers - assuming there is a $10-$15k discount on the price (from what a normal complete PP 5970p would cost).watch is still in original seal from Patek....thanks in advance!
Removing oyster bracelet links
Hi guys, Just a quick question, When removing the links from the oyster bracelet on either 12 or 6 o clock side, is it best to remove the links closest to the clasp first or the link closest to the lugs? Is there a difference? And if so what is it? Sorry for the newb question. Just wanted to know before I attempt to do it when I get my new BLNRThank you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
