Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon Baguette Watch $1,015,000
Last year in 2014, Jacob & Co. debuted a very interesting watch with an extravagant movement they called the Astronomia Tourbillon (debuted here). I didn't get a chance to personally see the piece when they debuted it, and I am not sure if the original Astronomia Tourbillon case style (check the link above) was even actually delivered, since according to these new 2015 Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon pictures, there is a totally new case design. The sheer complexity of the movement in the watch requires a lot of tweaking to make it work and years of effort. For 2015, however, it looks like the Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon is back with a new case design as well as a very much "Jacob & Co." version called the Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon Baguette that comes with a lot of diamonds.Below, you can see a video from last year of the Jacob & Co. Astronomia Tourbillon in action. Much of the movement is placed on a series of four arms that rotate around the en
AP road trip...
Set off early Thursday to the AP service centre in London, AP on my wirst of course..Wasn't the best day to make the journey as it was rather warm and humid (by UK standards) I did have an invite from AP to go to the trunk show after the appointment but I had promised my daughter we'd take her down to the Rain Forest Cafe, so I dropped my wife and daughter off at Hamleys.Off to the service centreThe staff were lovely and sat me down in a room all to myself with a nice glass of ice cold Coke (Rolex AD take note ) and off they took my new pride & joyHope they didn't notice my wallet And here's she is back and looking good So off I went to spend the rest of the day wife my family but they couldn't have me leave empty handed
Vintage speedmaster dial...?
I was in a cafe playing backgammon with the owner last week and one of his other friends comes in and sits down and watches us.The whole time I kept staring at his watch because I knew it was an Omega but I've never seen a dial like his, so I finally asked.Apparently it was a Speedmaster he got as a gift in the 80's from a friend. The dial was all white, but it had a weird look to it, kind of like carbon fiber? I have no way to really describe it. It was white, but not like Explorer II white on a Rolex.Edit: it wasn't mother of pearl, either. Unless they used a different style of MOP dials back then. And I hate to say it, but coming from Egypt, the possibility of a fake could be considered, if nobody can find what I'm talking aboutAny ideas/photo suggestions? I want to trade my Tag for one before I buy my Deepsea now.
Anyone on this forum own the new 1312
Be great to see some pics ...Thanks
