One of the first things you learn to do when you become a well-trained watch enthusiast is to say, when you first look at a watch, “yes, but is it an in-house movement?” Arguments about what the term means, about whether any given movement should be called in-house, and whether it is any help at all to worry about it, have been going on for as long as I can remember, and I can remember arguing about it on Usenet Newsgroups in the 1990s. I just picked up a 3523.80, first Omega. I was wondering what the general opinion of them is? They seem to be lower priced than most other speedmasters and I don't see them mentioned too often. I wanted an alternative to my TT DJ. I felt silly in my DJ with jeans and a t-shirt, so I wanted something I could wear up or down.
