Seiko Presage Comes to the US with a Limited Edition Auto Chrono
One of the many reasons we love Seiko here at worn&wound is the breadth of their lineup. No other brand could produce both sub-$100 budget automatics and world class haute horology, all in-house, and all with equal skill. While we get to cover the brand's lower-cost offerings all the time, it's not quite so often we take a look at what the Japanese titan does when it gets to flex its muscles. But when we do, like at Baselworld 2016, it's a real treat. One of the stars of Seiko's display (and the entire show, really) this year was the reveal of the Presage Limited Edition Chronograph, both a celebration of 60 years of Seiko automatic movements and a tasteful homage to the very first Seiko wristwatch, the 1913 Laurel. This is the first release of Seiko's premium Presage line outside of Japan, and part of a global push to establish Presage as second only to Grand Seiko in the lineup. If the Presage Limited Edition Chronograph is any indication, the line should be a resounding success.T
Opinions on new RO Perp?
Hello all, was browsing around NYC and tried this piece on at an AD. I had never tried the new perpetual in RG on before and am actually kind of liking it. I have been looking for the YG ROC but am now second guessing as to which I should pursue, especially since they offered a stellar price and YG has been elusive. Does anyone own one? Have you found that some of the novelty/coolness wore off after a while?Edit - sorry for rotated pic, not sure why it uploaded that way
Diver on bracelet?
I've seen ROO divers on the AP steel bracelet, and also seen one for sale that appears to be a full set with both rubber and steel bracelet, but the AP website suggests they ship with just the rubber bracelet. What's the deal? Do they come with both? Or with a choice of one or the other? Or are people buying the steel bracelet separately?
I've just been twiddling..........
with my trusty Omega Constellation. 1966, 564 movement, C shape. It's been gaining a bit of late, so I thought I'd have a go at regulating it. After several tiddles and one or two twaddles, I think I've got it right. For the last four days, I've been timing it aginst the clock on the GMT website. It is still spot on to the second! Not bad for a 44 years old mechanical watch!
Should i pull a trigger on this daytona??
Seller said the watch is lightly polished. Should i buy it?IMG_5812.JPGIMG_5817.JPGIMG_5808.JPGIMG_5814.JPGSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
