Richard Mille RM011 Ti Americas White Limited Edition Watch
Over at Haute Living I discuss the new limited edition Richard Mille RM011 Ti Americas White watch. An interesting looking watch made in honor of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. The watch will only be available in North America, making it one of those rare regional limited edition timepieces for USA and Canadian shores. The unique movement has a chronograph as well as a contemporaneous countdown timer (60 minutes). It also has an annual calendar. A very unique looking with watch a useful movement. The case is in DLC coated titanium. Price is $90,000, and read the my full article on the Richard Mille RM011 Ti Americas White watch here at Haute Living. Pita Barcelona Oceana Diver's Watch: Sounds Delicious, Looks Great
Doesn't Pita Barcelona sound like a hip new Middle Eastern and Spanish fusion cuisine restaurant? Sounds yummy. Actually it isn't even edible (darn, but good restaurant idea), but it is rather a spectacular watch brand. Today you'll hear about my favorite watch in their line, the Oceana Diver. This watch just has so much character I am overwhelmed with desire for it. Really.. let me tell you why you should like it too. Oh, and I don't think it has been officially released yet - they have been working on it for a while, getting it just right. The good news is that the watch is supposed to eventually be available in a host of materials and a few colors (highly customizable). Thus, someone could be having this watch in steel, another in a various shade of gold, and still another person might have a platinum Oceana. The watch will also be available in titanium. Interestingly enough the dial, hands, and strap are all customizable as well. There isn't a list of all the available options yet,
AP Concept and Tourbillon Thread
I've rekindled my love for the brand and am thinking as part of my consolidation efforts of going for a really high end AP. Obviously, I'd have to buy right and carefully, but I like the idea of being stuck in a piece and not able to flip every few months as I have with more temptingly liquid references. The concepts and tourbs don't get too much talk around here, but if anyone has any experience or impressions, I'd love the insight!
Etched crown?
Looks like the crown is now on the dials on at least the ones I've looked at. Does that mean the new watches don't have it etched in the crystal now?
