Antiquorum’s May Sale Includes Patek 1436, 5016
On May 9 and 10 Antiquorum will auction over 300 watches and clocks at the Grand Hotel Kempinski in Geneva. The highlight of the sale is a Patek Philippe Ref. 1436, stainless steel split-seconds chronograph, pictured below. This piece is one of four known examples of which three survived, and one of only two first generation watches known to exist. This timepiece was produced in 1945 and sold on May 11, 1949. It is the first time ever that this watch will be offered at auction. The pre-sale estimate is SFr. 600,000 to 800,000. Also to be offered is a Patek Philippe Tiffany split-seconds wristwatch produced in 1928 and sold on September 23, 1938. This 18K yellow gold wristwatch features a single-button split-seconds chronograph, vertical 30-minute register, constant seconds, and mobile lugs. Hi guys,I'm a new member to the forum and figured that this would be a wonderful place to get some good opinions on a future watch purchase that I am considering making.The two watches that I am going back and forth between are the Rolex GMT Master 2 116710BLNR (Batman) and the Audemars Piguet 15450ST.I love the look of both of these watches but I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to weigh out the pros and cons.

Hi everyone, after much thought and many trips to the AP store I finally decided on purchasing the Royal Oak 15450 with the white face! Since this is my first AP ever I am curious to what discount I can expect from an AD? The ss bracelet for my 3712 1/A has many scratches: (a) where can I get it cleaned up and polished? (b) Will Patek sell me a new bracelet ? If yes, how much?Thank you friends!
