Watch demagnetization in the Toronto area
Hi, my AP diver is now running -8 seconds slow per day again after months of excellent time keeping. The last time this happened it was sent to Clearwater for 6 weeks and it turned out the watch got magnetized. I'm hoping it's the same issue. Does anyone in the Toronto area know where I can go and have it demagnetized? Thanks in advanceEverettSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Automatic time
Ok, so I need to know from you experts what kind of time an automatic watch is supposed to keep to be considered state of the art. I've had cheap $10 quartz watches that kept perfect time and all banged up but worked fine for years. I bought a rolex in 2005 and was thinking that the time it would keep would be perfect but it was off by more than a minute every few days. I then bought the Longines Hydroconquest which keeps time within a few seconds every day and then the most recent Omega purchase which is off a few seconds every day as well. I think over the years and then after reviewing this website that these pricey watches although very nice arent able to keep better time than a cheap quartz which kind of leaves me wondering if these purchases were a little bit foolish in the sense of timekeeping anyway. I look forward to more educated comments on this subject.
Patek 5227 (video)
Heres a video vimeo/64786891#Im so in love with this watch. Lets gather all the information in one thread.
685/687
Also in the OP boutique today were the 685 and 687. Beautifully finished pieces with some great attention to detail. I love the engraving on the bezels. They're not my bag but I prefer the 687 out of the two; I really don't know how to describe that dial but I couldn't stop staring at it. Someone's gonna be very happy with either
16600 for BBB ETA...
I'm thinking of sending my 16600 into the sea and replacing it with a Tudor Black Bay Black ETA. Probably can't keep both. Talk me out of it...
