Watch Insider Reviews Breguet’s New Chiming Watch, Ref. 7800 Classique La Musicale
With the push of a button at 10 o'clock, or when it strikes a pre-set time, Breguet’s new Ref. 7800 Classique “La Musicale” plays “Badinerie,” composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Click here to discover the details of the watch and listen to its chimes, in this featured article from my blog, Watch-Insider.The first “La Musicale” watch inspired a great deal of discussion when it first came out in 2012, because apart from telling the time, it also housed a remarkable, patented, musical chiming mechanism that played Rossini’s aria, “The Thieving Magpie.” At Baselworld 2013, La Montre Breguet proudly introduced a new version of this revolutionary timepiece. This rose-gold watch is still fitted with Breguet's self-winding 777 movement, with silicon used for the escapement and balance spring. In this model, when the push-piece at 10 o'clock is activated, or when a pre-set time arrives, the musical piece played by the chimes is Bach
My ROO may be a keeper.
I put my AP Panda on a big test tonight.Timing my porterhouse steaks on the grill.Using the chrono. And I was able to see the time in the subdials. With my failing eye sights at twilight. The red needles on white tick marks stood out over the black dials.Passed the test. Good bear.
New to me 2255.80 question on adding strap
Picked up a awesome full size auto 2255.80, the dial on these are top notch. My question is about swapping out the orginal ss bracelet for a strap as I cannot get the bracelet to fit the way I want it to. If I buy a nato or similar strap do I need to change the spring bars as well? Should I bring the watch into a shop to swap it or can a novice change out the stap with the proper spring bar tool? My first omega and second fine time peice. Ah I wish I had more money, need more watches!!!!
Swimming with Patek ? Yes ? Model ?
I am bored at the airport waiting for my flight back home and thought this could be an interesting thread . Maybe you do but not submerge or maybe you are OK with the swimming pool but not OK with the ocean or maybe you are not ok at all ?If you are Ok , what model ?Shoot !!!
reliability of 324 and 240 movements
Hi guys,I hear often that 324 is a very reliable movement. I am just curious, has anyone here owned a Patek with 324 movement for more than 5 years without any service? How about caliber 240? Anyone had 240 movement watch fro more than 5 years without service? I hear often the stories from Rolex owners that their watch goes for 10-15 years without any service. Would be nice to hear similar stories about Patek. Here is my 5127 next to the 5227 brothers at the Patek Salon in Geneva. Enjoy!
